Hello everyone 👋,
Happy Monday 🎉 and a very warm welcome to my world 😊. I am definitely grateful for this new week and this day too. As it comes to an end, am raring to go with my stepping activities as well as some of the stories that caught my eye 👀. Let's dive in 💨.
So I had two major walks, starting off early with fast paced morning session. I brisk walked around the neighbourhood. I did enjoy that fresh morning breeze🍃. Then I was back indoors for the usual household chores. later in the afternoon, I stopped by the shopping center then was back home for some cooking followed by the usual nap. In between I did check out some trending news and watched some you tube. Finally I finished off the day with the slow paced evening walk in the cool evening breeze.
So what's been trending. Locally, the usual political shenanigans kept going 😹. Otherwise a quiet day.
On the continent Niger still trending, today the coup leaders decided to charge deposed president Mohamed Bazoum with high treason and undermining national security 🙀. The UN saying charging a democratically elected president with treason is very worrying.
Globally, US ambassador to Russia has met with detained WSJ journalist in Moscow. This was her third visit since his March detention on espionage charges🙀.
Ukrainian president has thanked the US for a $200 million security assistance package of defence munitions, artillery rounds, anti armour capabilities and mine clearing equipment🎊.
Across the pond in the US, Trump hit out at Georgia district attorney as fourth indictment looms🙀. He may be charged for trying to overturn the election results😹.
Still in the US, FTX founder Sam Bankman Fried will be jailed in New York before his October 2 trial, that's because lately he's been tampering with witnesses🙀.
Argentina trending as far right candidate shocked the political establishment with a surprise lead in primary elections🎊. Javier Milei received 30% of of the votes in primaries to choose nominees for October's presidential vote.
Finally in crazy weather, heavy flooding and landslides have been reported in the Himalayan region in India. Let's hope the situation gets better💯.
