Happy Sunday 🎉 and a very warm welcome to my world 😊. Hopefully you are enjoying the weekend, my day has been great. I am so grateful to be alive in this day and age. It's that time to slow down and get ready for bed 💤. Before that let's quickly take a look at how my day has been and also share some of the trending stories. Please keep reading 👓 and let's take it away 💨.
So just like yesterday, I kicked off with the fast paced morning session. Thoroughly enjoyed the cool morning breeze 🍃 as I made my way around the neighborhood 🌲. A short but enjoyable walk.
Then I was back indoors for some rest and the daily household chores. A little bit of youtube and cooking then the afternoon saw me go out to the shopping centre for some fruits and veggies. Next came the refreshing nap💤. Then I woke up some time later in the evening and continued watching some of the earlier videos and news,
I did finish off the day with the slow paced evening walk enjoying the cool evening breeze.
Now let's quickly take a look what has been trending in the media streets.
Locally, the usual political shenanigans 😹 kept going.
On the continent, Niger border guards are on high alert as the ECOWAS deadline of reinstating the president looms🙀. The ECOWAS bloc is considering the use of force to restore the detained president to power but the coup leaders are not listening to none of that😹.
Let's go to Europe, Ukraine trending as they bombed a bridge linking the mainland to Russia and a crucial supply line for the Russian military🙀. All aimed at paralyzing Russia as the counteroffensive goes on.
In the middle east, Israel trending as Israeli forces opened fire on a car with three Palestinian in Jenin in the occupied west bank killing all three of them😭. They had been setting out to commit a terrorist attack as an M16 was found in their possession🙀.
In Asia, Pakistan trending as supporters of jailed ex PM Imran Khan took to the streets in Kashmir. His lawyers will be appealing the three year sentence handed to him yesterday.
Still in Pakistan, over 35 dead 🙀 as a train 🚆 derailed in Sindh province. Many more injured in the accident. My sincere condolences to the bereaved families😭.
Finally on a lighter note, Elon Musk has challenged Mark Zuckerberg to a cage fight that will be streamed live on X/twitter😹. All for a good cause to raise money for veterans. Zuckerberg who recently started Threads to rival X, hasn't responded to the fight request🤪.
