Happy Monday 🎉 and a very warm welcome to my world 😊. We are onto a new week and hopefully you are having a great day this far. Mine has been ok and as the day draws to a close, am raring to go with some of the day's trending news and my stepping activities. Thank you for stopping by yet again and let's take it away💨.
So I had two major walks, starting off early with fast paced morning session. I brisk walked around the neighbourhood. At least today the sun was out on a beautiful Monday morning with an amazing fresh breeze🍃. Then I was back indoors for the usual household chores. later in the afternoon, I stopped by the shopping center then was back home for some cooking followed by the usual nap. In between I did check out some trending news and watched some you tube. Finally I finished off the day with the slow paced evening walk in the cool evening breeze.
So what's been trending. Locally, the usual political shenanigans kept going 😹. Otherwise a quiet day.
On the continent Sudan is marking 100 days of war and conflict. The warring parties seem far from engaging in any meaningful negotiations🙀.
Globally, Russia has warned of retaliation after alleged Ukrainian drone attacks😹. The drones were intercepted before hitting some non residential buildings.
Elsewhere in Sweden, Greta Thurnberg was arrested for disobeying police orders to stop blocking a road😹. There were sitting on a road to block oil tankers from moving. She was later fined and released.
Denmark trending as two protesters burned a quran outside the Iraqi embassy🙀. This will definitely lead to protests in Iraq.
Let's go to Israel where 29 weeks of protesting have resulted into nothing😭 as parliament voted to approve part of the controversial bill🙀. The judicial reforms bill passed 64 to 0 after opposition MPs staged a walk out.
PM Netanyahu has vowed to see the entire bill through. He also warned reservists to stay out of politics😹. Critics say the bill will move Israel from democracy to autocracy. The US calling it unfortunate🙀.
Finally let's finish off with some crazy weather. Greece is battling several wild fires, a similar situation happening in Algeria. Then reports of flooding in Afghanistan after months of drought. In Canada, Nova Scotia has received the most rain in 40 years🙀
