Hello everyone 👋,
Happy Sunday 🎉 and a very warm welcome to my world 😊. It's another 24 hours to be grateful for and as the day fades away, am raring to go with my stepping activities of the day including some of the trending stories I came across. Thank you for being here and let's get cracking 💨.
So just like yesterday, I kicked off with the fast paced morning session. Thoroughly enjoyed the cool morning breeze 🍃 as I made my way around the neighborhood 🌲. But it was a short walk. Then I was back indoors for some rest and the daily household chores. A little bit of youtube and cooking then the afternoon saw me go out to the shopping centre for some groceries. Next came the refreshing nap💤. I woke up some time later in the evening and continued watching some of the earlier videos and news.
I did finish off the day with the slow paced evening walk. Now let's quickly take a look what has been trending in the media streets.
Locally, the usual political shenanigans kept going😹, the opposition are planning new demonstrations from Wednesday🙀.
Globally, Ukraine trending as a barrage of Russian missiles hit the port city of Odessa. A large cathedral which is a UNESCO protected site was hit and so were residential buildings killing at least two people😭. Russia has been shelling Odessa nearly everyday since they withdrew from renewing the grain export deal. There will be far reaching consequences to millions of people if Ukraine will be unable to export grains🙀.
Meanwhile polls have closed in Spain's snap elections. Exit polls show losses for the left leaning govt. The right leaning party also won't have the majority so the most likely result will be some sort of coalition govt 😹.
Let's go to Asia, where Cambodia have been voting in an election where majority of the opposition have been barred from participating. Some opposition leaders even forced to flee the country🙀. So the ruling party has won with a landslide😹. What a sham😡.
Israel also trending as the parliament started discussing the controversial judicial reforms bill today. This as tens of thousands of protesters camped outside the parliament or Knesset🙀. Ten thousand reservists have decided to suspend voluntary service in opposition to the proposed bill.
Finally in crazy weather, there are reports of landslide in India. Then in Greece wild fires doing the most as thousands are evacuated from burning areas🙀.
