Hello everyone 👋,
Happy Caturday 🐈 and a very warm welcome from Bob and yours truly😹. It's Bob's day to claw 🐾 into the blockchain, so give it up for him and other furry friends 😻. As for me I have had a great day stepping it out this cloudy July day; and just about now I wanna fill you in on how it went and also share some of the trending stories. Thank you for reading and let's take it away 💨.
It was a nice morning so I had an amazing session of a few rounds of brisk walking around the neighbourhood. The other time I stepped out was to the shopping center for veggies and fruits around 1 pm. It was a largely cloudy day as I made my way. As always I had my usual afternoon nap, then I got up and had the cooking done.
Finally I had the usual slow paced evening walk enjoying the cool evening breeze 🍃 .In between I was watching the news and also youtube.
So what's been trending in the media streets? Locally a rather quiet day with the usual political shenanigans 😹.
On the continent, Sudan trending as 16 civilians killed in the exchange of fire between the army and RSF forces😭. Seems that war is not coming to an end any day soon, a disappointing situation.
Globally, Israel trending as thousands of people were out in the streets marching against the upcoming judicial reforms. The right wing govt of Netanyahu is hell bent on stripping power from the supreme court🙀. Voting on the bill resumes Monday, will he listen to his people? let's see how that goes.
Then two Palestinian teenagers were killed in separate incidents in the occupied west bank😭. People protested as they carried them to the burial site.
Not far off in Iraq, people marched and protested Infront of the Danish embassy in Baghdad. This after someone reportedly burned the quran in Copenhagen🙀. Yesterday they were protesting at the Swedish embassy for a similar incident in Sweden. When I tell you religion is a delicate subject😹.
India trending as unrest continued in Manipur among the majority Meitei tribe and minority Kuki tribe. Five men arrested for assaulting two women from the Kuki tribe.
Hopefully things get resolved amicably 💯.
Let's go to Europe, Ukraine trending after they attacked a Russian weapons depot in Crimea destroying some weapons.
In Spain, today was a busy day of campaigning ahead of Sunday's snap election that was called by PM Pedro Sanchez. May the best candidate win💯.
Finally in crazy weather, Greece faces hottest July in 50 years🙀. The wild fires are still raging with upto 100 homes destroyed😭, people evacuated from certain areas. More definitely needs to be done to address this global warming phenomena💯.
