Hello everyone 👋,
Happy Sunday 🎉 and a very warm welcome to my world 😊. So glad that you stopped by yet again 👏. Am really grateful for this day and before it ends we will quickly take a look at how my stepping went and also share some of the day's trending news. You know how we do it daily, so let's get cracking 💨.
Just like yesterday, it was an early start with the fast paced morning session. I enjoyed the fresh morning breeze 🍃 as I brisk walked 👣 and jogged around the cloudy neighborhood. A short but enjoyable walk 💯.
Then I was back indoors for some rest and the daily household chores. A little bit of youtube and cooking then the afternoon saw me go out to the shopping centre for some fruits and veggies. Next came the refreshing nap💤. Then I woke up some time later in the evening and continued watching some of the earlier videos and news.
I did finish off the day with the slow paced evening walk enjoying the cool evening breeze. Just like yesterday, it's raining out there tonight.
Now let's quickly take a look what has been trending in the media streets.
Locally, the usual political shenanigans 😹 kept going. The opposition are planning another set of protests in this new week🙀. Then some African presidents are in Kenya for an AU summit that kicked off today.
Globally, let's start on a sporting story. 20 year old Carlos Alcarez has beaten Novak Djokovic to win the Wimbledon 🏆 trophy 🎉. The game took four hours but he ended the ten year reign of Djokovic 😹Congratulations to him🎊. Novak Djokovic was out to win his 24th grand slam title but looks like that will have to wait. Alcarez will be awarded £2.35 million for that win.
Then EU and Tunisia have finalized a deal to try and tame the illegal immigration. Human traffickers make money helping people cross over into Europe, looks like their days are numbered💯.
Let's go to the middle east, Syria trending after the Iraqi PM made a historic visit to hold talks with Syrian president Bashar Al Assad in Damascus.
Not far off in Iran, the morality police have been reinstated months after the death of a woman in their custody sparked months of protests🙀. They have started patrolling the streets enforcing the country's religious dress code😹.
Finally, the crazy weather continued. China hit it's highest temperature at 51.7°C🙀. Italy seeing hot weather expected to touch 40°C. Meanwhile in south Korea, rescue operations are ongoing following the flooding and landslides.
