Hello everyone 👋,
Happy Monday 🎉 and a very warm welcome to my world 😊. Hopefully your week is off to a great start. Mine has been wonderful and it's now time to wind down and look forward to bedtime. Before that please allow me to fill you in on how my day has been including some of the trending stories that caught my eye.As always thank you for reading and let's get it done💨.
So I had two major walks, starting off early with fast paced morning session. I brisk walked around the neighbourhood. At least today the sun was out on a beautiful Monday morning with an amazing fresh breeze🍃. Then I was back indoors for the usual household chores. later in the afternoon, I stopped by the shopping center then was back home for some cooking followed by the usual nap. In between I did check out some trending news and watched some you tube. Finally I finished off the day with the slow paced evening walk in the cool evening breeze.
So what's been trending. Locally, the usual political shenanigans kept going 😹. Today the president signed into law the controversial finance bill that passed thru parliament last week. Taxes will go higher from next month🙀. The opposition have vowed to protest with mass demonstrations😹.
Globally, Russia trending as president Putin made his first address since the Wagner rebellion. He said organizers of that revolt will be brought to justice. Am sure he regrets agreeing to formation of the Wagner group😹, most of its soldiers are ex-convicts😹.
Meanwhile, head of wagner has also spoken from an undisclosed location in Belarus; saying his aim was not to overthrow Putin but rather he wanted to save his company. The Russian rouble has fallen to a 15 month low🙀.
Also trending, EU foreign ministers meeting in Luxembourg have seen the whole situation as a sort of power struggle within Russia.
Across the pond in the US, president Biden has said NATO and the US had nothing to do with the Wagner uprising. However, they will keep supporting Ukraine in the on going war or special operation as Putin would put it😹.
Finally, Israel trending as defence ministry committee approved more than 5'000 new settlement housing units in the occupied west bank 🙀.
