Hello everyone 👋,
Happy hump day 😎. Thank you for stopping by as we keep pushing this month of March☺️. It's definitely another 24 hours to be grateful for. You know the drill, let's quickly take a look at how my day has been plus some of the day's trending stories making headlines . Here we go again 💨.
I kicked off the day with a few rounds of brisk walking around the neighbourhood. It was a beautiful sunny 🌞 morning as I made my way. I did enjoy my walk and was back indoors an hour later. I then rested for a while, caught up with emails, watched the news and then the usual chores around the house.
My next stepping came later in the afternoon going to the mall for some groceries. Still a beautiful sunny day as I made my way. It was nap time when I got back indoors, I woke up some time early evening and got on with the cooking, watching a little bit of news and youtube .Next came the evening or sunset walk, it looked like it would rain but it didn't and I made it back home safe and sound. Now let's quickly look at what has been trending in the news today.
Locally, the usual political shenanigans kept going😹, otherwise a quiet day. On the continent US secretary of state Anthony Blinken was in Ethiopia meeting the PM and now on his way to Niger.
Globally, Credit Suisse slump renewed fears of a worldwide banking crisis . Shares of the Swiss bank lost more than a quarter of their value in one day, dragging down European and US markets🙀.
Meanwhile, the crypto market remained stable, bitcoin at 24k most of the day😹.
Across the pond in the UK, the finance minister unveiled the budget with provision to support vulnerable families. Meanwhile thousands were on strike, demanding higher pay and better working conditions 💯.
Elsewhere, Syrian president Bashar Al Assad stopped by for talks with his friend Putin 😹. Promising to support him in the Ukraine war. It's been 12 years since the Arab spring protests that tried to remove Assad from power. Somehow he has managed to stay in power but millions of Syrians have been displaced and living as refugees 😭.
Finally in crazy weather, Malawi has declared two weeks of morning after deadly floods and landslides left more than 200 dead and many more missing🙀. My sincere condolences to the bereaved families 😭. More flooding reported this time in Turkey in the region devastated by the earthquake.
So that was Wednesday and I wanna thank you for reading this far 👏. I truly appreciate your continued support 🙏 and love 💕. Sending back that love 💞 and lots of blessings 👼😇 to everyone.
Check me out yet again tomorrow on an amazing throwback Thursday ☺️. Until then keep stepping and enjoying yourselves to the max 💯.
Your attention is appreciated 💯. Stay safe, take care and good bye 💖💕💖HAKUNA MATATA
