Hello everyone 👋,
Happy Caturday 🐈 and a very warm welcome from Bob and yours truly😹. It's Bob's day to claw 🐾 into the blockchain along with other furry friends. Anyway, it's been a great day and as it fades away, I am raring to go with my stepping activities and also share some of the trending stories that made headlines. Thank you for reading and let's get started 💨.
So as usual, I kicked off early with a few rounds of brisk walking 👣 and jogging around the neighborhood 🌲. It was a beautiful sunny 🌞 morning and I enjoyed the fresh morning breeze.
Then I was back indoors for a bit of resting before embarking on the little house chores around the house. Up and down and in between I kept watching the news for trending stories. Then later in the afternoon a quick stop at the mall for groceries, am cooking a lot this year😹. Next, I was back indoors sleeping for the usual refreshing afternoon nap💤. The evening came in quite swiftly, I was up, cooking and watching a bit of you tube and some soccer matches. The sunset walk came as it was almost getting dark, as always slow paced enjoying the cool evening/night breeze. I finally made it back home safe and sound calling it a day.
So that was my day but lets finish with some of the trending stories.
Locally, a rather quiet day except for the usual political shenanigans 😹.
Globally, protests were the order of the day😹. Let's begin in France where protesters clashed with the police. They've been protesting over pension reforms that aim to raise the retirement age from 62 to 64 years🙀.
Next we go to the UK. Health workers protested in London, protesters want the govt to increase investment in the NHS and improve pay for staff. Britain is bracing for more strike action with junior doctors walking off the job next week 🙀. Unions are demanding pay rise in line with inflation but govt says it's unaffordable.
Trending also were protests in Tel Aviv, Israel. There the protests are centered around bills in parliament that seek to reduce the power of the supreme court 🙀. People know that their rights and freedoms are at risk of being reversed.
Let's go across the pond in the US, as i told you silicon valley bank has collapsed 🙀. The bank failed to raise money to cover loss from the sale of assets affected by higher interest rates. It's the largest failure of a US bank since 2008.Four other US banks also lost $55 billion in a day. We definitely need decentralization, let the market clean out all these centralized organizations. Meanwhile enjoy buying the dip in crypto 😹.
Finally in crazy weather, cyclone Freddy is about to hit Mozambique for the second time. Bringing strong winds and rain. Elsewhere in California they are bracing for more heavy rains with flooding 🙀.
