Hello everyone 👋,
Happy hump day 😎🎉 and a very warm welcome to my world 😊. Another active day is fading away and as bed 💤 time approaches it's time to wrap things up and get ready for Thursday. Thank you for reading and let's get going 💨.
So as usual I had two major walks just like yesterday, starting off with the fast paced brisk walk around the neighbourhood. Then I was back indoors for the usual household chores and a little bit of resting. The afternoon saw me walk to the shopping centre for some cooking groceries. As always I squeezed in my usual nap before evening set in. Then it was time for the slow paced evening walk enjoying the cool evening breeze🍃. Tonight a bright full moon shone through the sky.
So in between the day I had been watching the trending stories on the news and also in crypto.
Locally, the usual political shenanigans 😹 kept going, today women worldwide were celebrating International Women's Day. Celebrating our grandmothers, mothers, sisters, aunties, nieces and daughters. More power to them but unfortunately in many countries women are paid less than men, in other places they cannot work or even attend school. Lots of work needed looking ahead,
Globally, Ukraine trending as the fighting in Bakmut is intensified. Ukraine say they are not ready to let the city fall to the Russians.
Elsewhere in Kyiv, UN secretary general Antonio Gutierrez had talks with president Zelensky. He is still championing the export of grains from the black sea port.
Elsewhere, widespread protests reported in Greece as people are still angered by the train crash that killed 57 people 😭. The authorities have been so lax, laws have not been followed and people haven't been accountable.
More protests in Tbilisi, Georgia as a controversial new law called foreign agents bill is about to be enacted. In Russia similar legislation has been used to target aid organizations and the western media🙀.
Let's go to Asia, political shenanigans 😹 in Pakistan as authorities tried to stop a rally called for by former PM Imran Khan. Supporters of the former PM were dispersed with tear gas. A TV channel was suspended and other media are barred from airing any of his speeches😹.
Across the pond in the US, govt investigation into origins of COVID-19 began it's first hearing today. The house select sub committee on coronavirus seeks to investigate the origin of the covid 19 pandemic. I wonder if they will have cooperation from Chinese authorities where this covid mess started.
Finally, the first 3D printed rocket is set to launch from Cape Canaveral in Florida.
