Hello everyone 👋,
Happy Tuesday 🎉 and a very warm welcome to my world 😊. I am definitely grateful for this day💯. It's been another ordinary day and it's now time to wrap things up and get ready for bed 💤. As always thank you for stopping by and let's quickly take a look at how my stepping went and also share some of the day's trending stories. Here we go again 💨.
So as usual I had two major walking sessions. Starting off with the fast paced morning session that was quite enjoyable in the fresh morning breeze🍃. Then I was back indoors for the little daily household chores. Later in the afternoon I stopped by the shopping centre for some cooking groceries. I squeezed my nap into the rest of the afternoon. Then the final evening walk happened before I got back home safe and sound calling it a day. Of course in between I was watching the news including crypto , lets get into that next.
Trending locally, the usual political shenanigans😹 kept going, otherwise a quiet day.
Globally, Ukraine still severely fighting in the city of Bakmut 🙀, president Zelensky has refuted claims that Ukrainian soldiers would retreat.
Over in the UK, a new law has come into effect with regards to migrants. Anybody arriving by ⛵ boat will be deported to a third safer country - Rwanda🙀. This to deter the dangerous crossings on the English channel, people having been dying making the trip, let's see if this new law further deters them. The UNHCR has voiced concern on the new law, calling it a ban on asylum.
Still in Europe, thousands of mainly public servants took part in a nationwide strike across France. Protesting pension changes, including making retirement 64 years, up from 62🙀.
Trending in the middle east, Israeli forces made a raid in the occupied west Bank at Jenin refugee camp killing 6 Palestinians😭. One of them a main suspect in the drive-by shooting that killed an Israeli. Tensions high in the area as Israeli settlers have been setting fire to Palestinian homes and cars 🙀.
Nearby in Iraq, US secretary of defense made a surprise visit to Iraq saying the US was committed to keeping its military presence in the country and continuing to fight isil.
Finally, let's down in North Korea where attention seeking president Kim Jong-un has recently been seen attending important functions with ten year old daughter Kim Ju Ae. Word is out that she may be the next leader, currently being home schooled and she loves 🐎 horse riding 😹.
