Hello everyone 👋,
Happy Caturday 🐈 and a very warm welcome from Bob and yours truly😹. It's Bob's day to claw 🐾 into the blockchain and it's coinciding with the new year's eve. I am so ready to welcome 2023💯, so I guess it's goodbye 2022, get out of the door with all the problems that you brought😹. Anyway, it's been a great day and as it fades away, I am raring to go with my stepping activities and also share some of the trending stories that made headlines. Thank you for reading and let's get started 💨.
So as usual, I kicked off early with a few rounds of brisk walking 👣 and jogging around the neighborhood 🌲. It was a beautiful sunny 🌞 morning and I enjoyed the fresh morning breeze.
Then I was back indoors for a bit of resting before embarking on the little house chores around the house. Up and down and in between I kept watching the news for trending stories. Then later in the afternoon a quick stop at the mall for groceries,am cooking a lot for new year😹. Next, I was back indoors sleeping for the usual refreshing afternoon nap💤. The evening came in quite swiftly, I was up, cooking and watching a bit of you tube and some soccer matches. The sunset walk came as it was almost getting dark, as always slow paced enjoying the cool evening/night breeze. I finally made it back home safe and sound calling it a day.
So that was my day but lets finish with some of the trending stories.
Locally, a rather quiet day except for the usual political shenanigans 😹 but the whole country is in the holiday mood. The new year is coming up in an hour or so😜.
Globally, Ukraine trending as Putin made it rain cruise missiles in Kyiv and nearby areas🙀. Up to 20 missiles were fired but Ukraine intercepted seven of them. There was extensive damage at a residential apartment block causing one death and many injuries😭. President Zelensky saying they will never forgive Putin for the many terrorist acts committed.
Also trending, former Pope, Benedict the 16th has passed away at 95. Current pope Francis has paid tributes to his predecessor who was the first Pope to resign after 600 years🙀.
Across the pond in the US, another prominent death as pioneering news anchor Barbara Walters died aged 92. A trail blazer in her career. She was the first female network news anchor in 1976👋. She went on to have hard hitting interviews with celebrities, royalty, presidents, blurring the lines between journalism and stardom. May her soul rest in peace 💯.
Finally, the new year has already been welcomed in several cities across the globe. I have seen wonderful fireworks from, Sydney, Auckland, and Hong Kong. Our fireworks go off at the city centre and various other places in the city.
2022 has been a crazy year for us crypto holders. Lots of bankruptcies and the largest one the world had ever seen with the collapse of FTX. Let's hope the bottom is in and 2023 will treat us better.
