Hello everyone 👋,
Happy Thursday 🎉 and a very warm welcome to my report 😊. We are fast approaching the holiday season😹. I've had just another ordinary day stepping it out and as bedtime beckons, it's time to quickly take a look at how my day has been plus some of the trending stories I came across. As always thank you for reading and let's take it away 💨.
So I kicked off the day with some brisk walking 👣 and jogging around the neighbourhood 🌲. A cloudy day but with some beautiful morning breeze 🍃. Then I was back indoors for some resting, a little bit of daily chores and catching up with the news. The next chance of walking came in the afternoon out to the shopping centre for some food. As always I squeezed in the afternoon nap and woke up some time early evening. After some news and you tube, it was time for the slow paced sunset walk. I had a nice walk then was back indoors still watching news, tomorrow the world cup resumes with some interesting matches. So now let's quickly take a look at a summary of what was trending.
Locally, the usual political shenanigans kept going😹, otherwise a nice day.
Globally, US trending as the release of basketball player Brittney Grinner was secured by a prison swap. The US released jailed Russian arms dealer Viktor Bouth in exchange for Brittney 🎉👋.
Political shenanigans continued in Peru as the president was arrested and charged with rebellion 😹. This after he issued a decree dissolving Congress that had just impeached him. The same congress has voted to appoint his deputy as the new president 🙀. She becomes the country's first female president 🎉👋.
Across the pond in Iran, the country has executed a protester😭. He was convicted of "waging war against God" 🙀for allegedly attacking a security officer with a knife and closing off a street in Tehran.
Back in the US, prince Harry and Meghan Markle trending as they release a tell all documentary on netflix 😹. It will be in 6 episodes. Remember they escaped the royal family for a peace of mind and freedom. People have always been curious as to what exactly happened, in between racism and biased press😹.
Looking forward to tomorrow's games as the world cup resumes.
