Hello everyone 👋,
Happy Tuesday 🎉 and a very warm welcome to my report 😊. It's yet another 24 hours to be grateful for. I truly thank you for being here for a quick look at how my day has been plus share some of the trending stories that caught my eye 👀. Let's just dive in 💨.
So just like yesterday, I had a short morning session of a few rounds of brisk walking 👣 around the neighborhood 🌲.It was a little chilly so I got back indoors as soon as I could.
Back indoors, I rested for a while before logging into my emails and trending news of the day.
I later had my usual nap and then woke up to some cooking and news. Next it was time for the sunset walk, that went well and I made it back home safe and sound. To finish off let's quickly look at the trending stories of the day including the exciting world cup games
Locally, the usual political shenanigans 😹 kept going. The DRC peace talks with various warring parties concluded in Nairobi, it will resume again in January.
Globally, another Russian military base was hit😹. These after those two attacks yesterday on other military bases. Russia blamed Ukraine for all the attacks but there hasn't been any response from Ukraine 😹.
Meanwhile in Ukraine, it was armed forces day celebrating the heroes who have died fighting to keep the country free👋. President Zelensky presided over the event.
Trending in Asia, Indonesian parliament is discussing a new law that criminalizes extra marital affairs and another one against insulting the president 😹. If successful it will come into effect in 3 years 🙀.
Across the pond in the US, the Georgia Senate elections are trending. Dem. Raphael Warnock is going one on one with Rep. Herschel Walker. Voting is underway, may the best candidate shine through 💯.
Finally let's finish off with some football shenanigans 😹. Another thundering shocker at the world cup as Morocco beat 2010 champions, Spain. The very stubborn Moroccans worked tirelessly through the 90 minutes and extra time then showed their true colours in the penalty shoot out🎉😜.
In the just concluded match Portugal has whitewashed Switzerland six goals to one in a very thrilling encounter.So Morocco will face Portugal in their next game 🙀.
Definitely looking forward to the games on Friday 😹. Tomorrow and Thursday are rest days.
