Hello everyone 👋,
Happy Thursday 🎉 and a very warm welcome to my world 😊.As always I am so grateful for this day. It's been wonderful stepping it out 💯, now that it's almost bedtime 💤 let's quickly take a look at how my day has been and also share some of the trending stories. As always thank you for reading and let's take it away 💨.
So I started the day with lots of brisk walking around the neighbourhood, today was a little warmer than yesterday which motivated me to keep going. Then I was back indoors for some resting and some of the little household chores here and there. Later in the afternoon I had to get something to cook from the shopping centre. Then back home I squeezed in the usual nap before the evening set in. Next came the slow paced evening walking session enjoying the cool breeze🍃.Throughout the day I have been following up on the trending news, that's next.
Locally, a rather quiet day except for the usual political shenanigans 😹, The president and cabinet met for their very first meeting, lots of challenges still facing us, the rising fuel, food prices and the ongoing drought in the north east🙀..
Globally, Ukraine trending as Russian generals have asked their soldiers to leave Kherson 👋. Ukrainian soldiers on the other hand are not eager to rush into Kherson, president Zelensky calling for caution as word went around that Russians are leaving behind mines and doing other crazy stuff 🙀.
Elsewhere across the pond in the US, things still in limbo over who will control both houses, democrats and republicans neck to neck. Political analysts calling the election a referendum on the supreme court rather than on Biden 🙀.
Speaking of Biden he will be meeting his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping next Monday as they attend the G20 meeting in Indonesia. Remember China cut off most official communication with the US when Nancy Pelosi visited Taiwan 😹. Russian president will not be attending, even so Biden had said he wouldn't meet him😹.
Over in crypto land, after yesterday's crazy news on FTX exchange, the market is slowly healing, some analysts had predicted huge drops but it's holding up well. A major lesson for us to learn with these recent collapses of Lunar, Celsius and FTX, is decentralization 💯. People need to have control over their funds. Centralized entities have ways of messing up customer funds.
Finally in crazy weather, a new storm named Nicole made landfall in Florida with flooding and crazy winds, leaving damage and many without power 🙀. Watch out it's going North into Carolinas and Georgia.
