TGiF 🍷🍻 and a very warm welcome to my world 😊. The weekend is upon us, I have had a great day. I am also truly grateful for this day, it's a blessing to be alive in this day and age💯. I thank you all of you for stopping by yet again. Time to wrap things up and quickly take a look at how my day has been plus share some trending stories. Let's take it away💨.
So as always my day began with a little bit of stretching then a few rounds of brisk walking around the neighbourhood. That fresh morning breeze🍃 was so wonderful. Then I was back indoors where I rested then got on with the little daily chores around the house. In between I caught up with the latest news and watched some crypto youtube. My next walking came later in the afternoon getting some fruits and veggies. Then I was back indoors for the usual nap. I woke up feeling refreshed some time early evening. watched the news then it was time for the sunset walk. As always slow paced around the neighbourhood and park. So that was the stepping and now let's quickly look at what trended in the media.
Locally, nothing much happening except the usual political shenanigans 😹, the new ministers took over their respective dockets.
Globally, Twitter trending as the world's richest man, Elon Musk took over at the platform after completing the $44 billion deal💯. The deal was on, then off, now it's finally done. He started by firing four top executives🙀. Let's see what changes come in, but it's a good thing since he holds BTC.
Across the pond in Europe, Ukraine trending, the looming power shortage continued, president Zelensky giving speech from a dark street in Kyiv 🙀. In Donetsk the battle for Bakmut heated up as Russian forces edged closer.
Elsewhere in Iran the protests kept going, UN concerned at detainees treatment.
Finally, the stocks of Amazon and Facebook's meta fell🙀. Zuckerberg's net worth down by $95 billion, he went from 3rd richest to 27th on the rich list. Also trending oil companies made a killing in profits, Exxon Mobil highest at close to $20 billion 🙀 for the last quarter. Total and shell also high, so while we suffer at the pump they are laughing all the way to the bank. Hmmm...
