Hello everyone 👋,
Happy Sunday 🎉 and a very warm welcome to my report 😊. As always I am grateful for this day, there are many who wanted to see it but couldn't so we are blessed to be here💯. Thank you for stopping by and please keep reading 👓 as I let you in on how my day has been including some of the trending stories I came across. Let's get cracking 💨.
So as usual, I began the day with the fast paced morning session. Brisk walking 👣 and jogging around the neighborhood 🌲, enjoying the cool morning breeze 🍃. Then I was back indoors for some resting and then later my usual daily chores. I had a big pile of laundry to get through. Then I also kept abreast with the trending news and emails. Later in the afternoon I had a little bit of walking going to the city center for some groceries and window shopping. Then I was back indoors for the usual refreshing nap. The evening came fast and I woke up to cooking, watching a bit of youtube and quite interesting soccer ⚽ matches. Then I was out as the sun was setting to enjoy the slow paced evening walk that winds down my day. Finally let's quickly look at what was trending in the media.
Locally, the usual political shenanigans 😹 kept going as politicians attended church services.
Globally, Ukraine trending. Today some shocking news from Russia trying to accuse Ukraine of planning to use a dirty bomb on its own territory 🙀. A dirty bomb is an explosive laden with radio active material. Ukraine responded calling the allegation an absolute absurdity even as concerns over an escalation in the war arose.
Meanwhile up to 25,000 Kherson residents left the area on ferries and buses. Ukrainian army intent on taking back that territory 👋. On the mainland president Zelensky said over a million people are without power in many areas. There will be rationing of electricity throughout winter as Russia has destroyed a number of power grids🙀.
Elsewhere in the UK,the race is on for the next PM. Today Rishi Sunak announced he will be a contender. Speculation still high that Boris Johnson might be running but he hasn't made any announcement.
Finally, Xi Jinping has been confirmed to lead china in a third five year term. Normally the China Communist party has a strict two five years terms for all leaders. I don't know what they saw in Xi, but he is in and he proceeded to appoint loyalists to key leadership roles.
