Hello everyone 👋,
Happy Thursday 🎉 and a very warm welcome to my report 😊. It's still the first week of the month, I've had just another ordinary day stepping it out and as bedtime beckons, it's time to quickly take a look at how my day has been plus some of the trending stories I came across. As always thank you for reading and let's take it away 💨.
So I kicked off the day with some brisk walking 👣 and jogging around the neighbourhood 🌲. A cloudy day but with some beautiful morning breeze 🍃. I had a rather short session then I was back indoors for some resting, a little bit of daily chores and catching up with the news. The next chance of walking came in the afternoon out to the shopping centre for some food. As always I squeezed in the afternoon nap and woke up some time early evening. After some news and you tube, it was time for the slow paced sunset walk. I had a nice walk then was back indoors still watching news, reading a few stuff before bedtime. So now let's quickly take a look at a summary of what was trending.
Locally, the usual political shenanigans kept going😹, parliament sat to discuss which party coalition has majority of members. Then the Kenyan president is touring Ethiopian as safaricom launches there.
Globally, Ukraine trending as Russia bombs civilians in Zaporizhzhia 🙀. Deaths reported 😭. Meanwhile, while holding talks in Kyiv, the head of IAEA said that the Zaporizhzhia nuclear plant still belonged to Ukraine.
Elsewhere in Prague, European leaders met for the political community summit discussing the on going war in Ukraine and the energy crisis facing the continent.
Across the pond in the US, president Biden pardoned thousands convicted of marijuana possession 👋. The move comes amid efforts to legalize marijuana federally after recent success of state level campaigns.
In Asia, Thailand trending as a deranged man killed 35 people, including 23 children at a daycare centre🙀😭. He was an ex policeman and turned the weapons on himself. My sincere condolences to the bereaved families.
Finally, attention seeking North Korean, Kim Jong-un test fired two more missiles 😹. This after US, south Korea and Japan carried out drills and warned him of an earlier incident three days ago when he flew a missile over Japan🙀.
