Happy Sunday 🎉 and a very warm welcome to my world 😊. I have had a great day and hopefully you have too, am really grateful for this day. Before bedtime we have to take a quick look at how my day went including some of the trending stories I came across. As always thank you for stopping by and let's get cracking 💨.
I kicked off with a few rounds of brisk walking 👣 and jogging 👟 around the neighborhood 🌲. A wonderful session and the fresh morning breeze 🍃 made it quite enjoyable 💯.
Next I was back indoors where I rested for a while before logging into my emails and trending news of the day.
Locally, the usual political shenanigans 😹 kept going. Being a weekend those politicians are doing the most. Celebration as Kenyan athletes shined at the on going deaflympics in Brazil 👏. There will be a closing ceremony later tonight.
Globally, Ukraine still trending, today shelling continued in the eastern regions. In the west, some missiles were fired into Lviv 😱. Across the pond in the US, a mass shooting of 11 people has shocked the country. Described as a racially motivated hate crime by a deranged 18 year old shooter 😬. My sincere condolences to the bereaved families 😢.
Over in crypto land, bitcoin has come back to the 30k mark, I guess we will have a little bit of sideways movement before we figure out the bottom. I saw some 🐻 bearish videos on tiktok people saying crypto is dead😹. I think if you can't take the dumps, you don't deserve the pumps. I read somewhere, be greedy when others are fearful. So do keep hodling 💯.
I did settle down to some crypto analysis videos and also handled the cleaning chores of the day.
Later in the afternoon, I stopped by the shopping center for some groceries. Then I headed back home 🏡.
Next came the usual nap 💤. I woke up some time early evening and continued watching some of the earlier videos and also news.
Trending in the middle east, today Palestinians marked the 74th Nakba or catastrophe anniversary with big rallies in remembrance of dispossession and loss of their homeland. This amid anger over recently killed journalist 😢. Elsewhere, Lebanon had parliamentary voting with cautious hope the election will bring change. Last night in Italy, Ukraine won the Eurovision song contest, I guess congratulations are in order 🎉👏.
Anyways,as the evening set in, I had my ginger tea ☕ and then stepped out for the sunset 🌇☀️🌅 walk. As always slow paced enjoying the cool evening breeze 🍃 and today there was a full moon.
