Hello everyone 👋,
Happy Monday 🎉 and a very warm welcome to my world 😊. It's a new week and the stepping continued unabated. Time to wrap things up and look back at how my day turned out including some of the trending stories I came across. Buckle up and let's get going 💨.
So as usual, I kicked off the day with the fast paced morning session. Brisk walking 👣 and jogging 👟 around the neighborhood 🌲.
Next I was back indoors, where I rested for a while before logging into my emails and trending news of the day.
Locally, a rather quiet day except for the usual political shenanigans 😹. Campaigning in high gear as we approach the elections.
Globally, Russian president Putin lead victory day commemorations in Moscow, comparing the war in Ukraine to fighting nazis in world war 2😱. Elsewhere in Warsaw, Russian ambassador to Poland was doused in red paint by pro ukrainian protesters 😹. He had gone to lay wreaths of flowers marking the end of world war 2. And the UN chief Guterrez stopped by in Moldova, where he called for more funding to help Moldova as it cares for ukrainian refugees.
Over in crypto land, another red day as bitcoin is down to 31k😱. Probably this is the bottom, do keep hodling 💯 and don't keep staring at the screen, go out for a walk.
I did settle down to some crypto analysis videos and also handled the cleaning chores of the day.
Later in the afternoon, I stopped by the shopping center for some groceries. I walked around the park 🌲 for a while before heading back home 🏡.
Next, came the usual nap 💤, dreaming off until sometime early evening. I woke up and continued watching some of the earlier videos and also news.
Trending in Sri Lanka, the prime minister has finally resigned after weeks of violent protests 👏. The people have been so fed up with mismanagement of their resources. Elsewhere in the Philippines, Ferdinand Marcos Jnr is in the lead and presumed to be next president. His father was removed from the presidency with protests in 1986.
Anyways, as the evening set in, I had my ginger tea ☕ and then stepped out for the sunset 🌇☀️🌅 walk. A long extended walk enjoying the cool evening breeze 🍃.
