Hello everyone 👋,
Happy Tuesday 🎉 and a very warm welcome to my world 😊. It's been another ordinary but active day and it's now time to wrap things up and get ready for bed 💤. As always thank you for stopping by and let's quickly take a look at how my stepping went and also share some of the day's trending stories. Come on 💨.
It was an early start, brisk walking 👣 and jogging 👟 around the neighborhood 🌲. It was a beautiful sunny 🌞 morning as I made my way.
Next I was back indoors, where I rested for a while before logging into my emails and trending news of the day.
Locally the usual political shenanigans 😹 kept going. Today was also World press freedom day. Journalists are supposed to do their work freely but in dictatorial countries that is really not the case. Unfortunately, journalists in many of these countries have suffered and even died for doing their work 😢.
Globally, Ukraine still trending, intense shelling in the eastern regions, especially Mariupol, where more people need to be evacuated 😢. Elsewhere, on his trip to west Africa, the UN chief, Guterrez, has called for a return to civilian rule in Mali, Guinea and Burkina Faso where the military has grabbed power 😬.
Over in crypto land, bitcoin has subtly fallen to 37k after being at 38k most of the day. It's getting quite unpredictable in the short term, but keep hodling 💯.
I settled down to some crypto analysis videos and also handled the cleaning chores of the day.
Later in the afternoon, I stopped by the city centre 🌲 for a few errands. Walked around for a while before heading back home 🏡.
Next came the usual nap 💤. I woke up some time early evening feeling great 💪.
I then continued watching some of the earlier videos and also news.
Trending in the US, a leaked draft from the supreme court has revealed plans to overturn the landmark Roe Vs Wade case that gave women the right to abortion. It's been in operation since 1973 but a majority conservative bench is about to take the US some decades back😢. Who knows what else they have up their sleeves in regard to other rights and freedoms 😱.
Anyways, as the evening set in, I had my ginger tea ☕ and then stepped out for the sunset 🌇☀️🌅 walk. A long extended walk, slow paced enjoying the cool evening breeze 🍃.
