Hello everyone 👋,
Happy hump day 😎🎉 and a very warm welcome to my report 😊. It's another 24 hours to be grateful for and just before it turns into Thursday let's quickly take a look at how my day has been and share some of the trending stories I came across. You know how we do it, let's go💨.
This morning I had a short session of a few rounds of brisk walking 👣 around the neighborhood 🌲. It was quite a cloudy morning but the fresh air 🍃 made it quite enjoyable 💯.
Then I was back indoors where I rested for a while before logging into my emails and trending news of the day.
Locally, the usual political shenanigans 😹 kept going. The election campaigning still in high gear.
Globally, still about Ukraine, Russia today claimed they had taken over the city of Mariupol, however Ukraine disputed saying the resistance is on. Meanwhile, shelling in Kharkiv continued 😢. US president, Biden has called the whole situation a genocide as more bodies are discovered in the areas around Kyiv where Russia has withdrawn.
Over in crypto land, bitcoin is up to 41k from yesterday's 39k. Most analysts are bullish 🐂, predicting higher prices by close of the year. But that war in Ukraine has raised prices of commodities like wheat, coin, oil , fertilizer and UN have warned of shortages and high prices😱.
Anyways, later in the afternoon, I stopped by the city centre 🌲 for a couple of errands. Walked around then headed back home 🏡.
Back indoors, it was nap 💤 time. I woke up some time early evening and continued watching some of the earlier videos and also news.
Also trending, Israel has raided the occupied west Bank in what they termed as counter terrorist operations😱. This after gun attacks in Tel Aviv. Today a teenager was shot dead😢. Elsewhere a serious situation in South Africa. Remember yesterday I mentioned the storm ⚡ and flooding. It was really horrible with roads and people's houses swept away, I saw the death toll at 259, my sincere condolences to all the bereaved families 😢.
Anyways as the evening set in, I had my ginger tea ☕ and then stepped out for the sunset 🌇☀️🌅 walk. As always slow paced enjoying the cool evening breeze 🍃. It looked like it would rain ☔ but it didn't. Probably later in the night.
