Hello everyone 👋,
Happy Thursday 🎉 and a very warm welcome to my world 😊. Today was just another ordinary day stepping it out. As always you know what we do before bedtime💤, let's quickly take a look at how my day has been plus share some of the trending stories I came across. Please keep reading 👓 and enjoy 💨.
So just like yesterday, I kicked off with a few rounds of brisk walking 👣 and jogging around the neighborhood 🌲. A cloudy morning with some nice cool breeze 🍃.
Next I was back indoors, where I rested for a while before logging into my emails and trending news of the day.
Locally, the usual political shenanigans 😹 kept going. Also trending, the highest court in Kenya ruled that the president's bid to change the constitution was illegal from the start 😱.
Globally, still about Ukraine, Russia continued the shelling and destruction 😬. Mariupol has had the worst of it and civilians are asking to be let out. They are mostly in cold basements with little or no food and water 😢.
Elsewhere in Russia, Putin has demanded that unfriendly countries should buy gas in roubles only😹. This in a bid to boost the local currency. Across the pond, Biden will be increasing the supply of crude oil by a million barrels daily, this in a bid to curb the soaring gas ⛽ prices 👏.
Over in crypto land, bitcoin had a subtle pull back from 47 to 45k. But the bulls are still strong 💪.
I did settle down to some crypto analysis videos and also handled the cleaning chores of the day.
Later in the afternoon I stopped by the shopping center for some cooking groceries. I then made it back home for the usual nap 💤. It was amazing and I woke up some time early evening and continued watching some of the earlier videos and also news.
Also trending, protesters in Sri Lanka matched to the presidential palace to air their grievances on high cost of living and the electricity rationing 😱. Elsewhere in Afghanistan, the UN warned the country is in need of urgent humanitarian aid. There's shortages of food and medicine 😢.
Anyways, as the evening set in, I had my ginger tea ☕ and then stepped out for the sunset 🌇☀️🌅 walk. As always slow paced enjoying the cool evening breeze 🍃.
