Hello everyone 👋,
Happy Thursday 🎉 and a very warm welcome to my world 😊. I have had an awesome day and as always I am happy and really grateful for it💯. Thank you for stopping by and let's quickly take a look at how my day went and also what's trending in the media streets. Here we go again 💨.
So today I had a rather short morning session with a few rounds of brisk walking 👣 around the neighborhood 🌲.It was cloudy but that fresh morning breeze🍃made it quite enjoyable. Then I was back indoors for a little bit of resting before embarking on the usual house chores. In between I did keep updated on the trending news and also entertained myself with some good music. Later in the afternoon, I was out and about the city centre for a little bit of errands. Then I got back home and went into my usual refreshing nap💤. A little later in the early evening, I was up cooking and preparing for the slow paced sunset walk. Next, let's quickly look at what has been trending in the world.
Locally, political shenanigans😹 as members of parliament and members of the senate voted for their speakers and deputy speakers. Earlier in the day they were sworn in and are now ready to start their work.
Globally, UK trending as the Queen died at the age of 96. She has set a record of a 70 year reign that no monarch in the British monarchy has ever done👏,much respect to her. In spite of all the power, riches and excesses she was so disciplined and dedicated to duty to the very end. I learnt that she was holidaying in Kenya in 1952 when her father king George VI died. King Charles III has very big shoes to fill and my sincere condolences to the entire family and country😢.
Elsewhere, Ukraine claimed gains in counteroffensive against Russian forces, the US defense chief hailed demonstrable success by Ukrainian forces. Across the pond in Canada, the man behind last week's deadly stabbings was finally arrested but died in custody😱. Down in Argentina, a couple has been arrested for being behind the attempted assassination of the vice president, Kirchner.
