I really do appreciate this last Sunday of August , we are all blessed to be alive 💯. So today was a shorter morning session of a few rounds of brisk walking around the neighbourhood. Then I was back indoors where I rested, caught up with the news and also handled a multitude of house chores including laundry. Later in the afternoon, I stopped by the shopping centre for some veggies and fruit. Then I was back indoors for the refreshing nap💤, time flew by and the evening had me ending the day with the slow paced evening walk. So that's how my stepping went and next is some of the trending news I came across.
Locally, a rather quiet day, politicians tense as the election case begins tomorrow at the supreme court. I wouldn't care less😹.
Globally, In Ukraine, more shelling witnessed near that nuclear power plant😱, someone is playing with fire. Then more fighting in the east and southern parts of Ukraine as the war rages on. In Pakistan there's an urgent appeal for humanitarian aid as scale of destruction from the floods is unprecedented😢. A similar situation is unfolding in Afghanistan and parts of Sudan as floods wreck havoc.
Across the pond in the US, NASA trending as tomorrow they launch a rocket to the moon with passengers, almost fifty years after the last one, we will have more people landing there yet again.
In crazy weather, a rainbow cloud was observed somewhere in southern China. A rainbow cloud is a rare meteorological occurrence. The pictures and videos of the multi-colour cloud look magnificent💯.
