Hello everyone π,
Happy Sunday π and a very warm welcome to my world π. It's another 24 hours to be grateful for. There are many who would have wanted to see this day but didn't, so we are blessed π―. Hopefully your weekend is going on nicely, my day has been good. As always before the day ends, let me tell you how things went and also share some of the trending stories that caught my eye π. Let's dive in π¨.
So just like yesterday I had two major walks, with the first being the fast paced morning session. I brisk walked around the neighbourhood in the chilly morning air. Then I was back indoors for the usual daily chores. Later in the afternoon I was at the shopping centre for a few cleaning groceries. Then I had my nap and woke up sometime early evening feeling quite refreshed. A friend and I drove to some hills in the west part of the city for an evening walk. Its quite breezy up there and they have lots of wind mill turbines to take advantage of the wind. There are seven hills but we only managed to climb 3 then we had to get back as it got darker. It is a nice place to hike and next time it will be an early morning walk so we can conquer all the seven hills.
Next, lets quickly take a look at what has been trending. Locally a little quiet except for the usual political shenanigansπΉ. Politicians and everyone looking forward to the election case at the supreme court starting tomorrowπ―.
Globally, western leaders urged restraint around the Zaporizhzhia nuclear plant after shelling was reported last night very close to the plantπ±, it's like playing with fire, very serious fire. In Moscow, the daughter of a close Putin ally was killed in a car bombing, with speculation that her dad was probably the target. Elsewhere in the UK, port workers are going on an 8 day strike in pursuit of higher salaries to match the ever rising cost of livingπ.
In the gulf, UAE ambassador to Iran is set to return 6 years after relations severed. Elsewhere in Iraq, close to Karbala city there is frantic rescue operations ongoing after a shrine collapsed trapping people under the rubbleπ’. Then political shenanigansπΉ as Pakistanβs media regulatory body has imposed a ban on live telecast of former PM, Imran Khanβs speeches with immediate effect after the former prime minister criticized police and other state institutions in a speech in the capital, Islamabad, on Saturday.
In crazy weather, record rain with floods reported in Sindh province of Pakistan. In Taiwan they have recorded the highest temperature ever of 41 degrees centigradeπ±. In China the drought has revealed ancient statues that had been under water for years. A similar situation to Europe where we saw world war two wreckages and ancient rocks revealed too.
So that's it for today, am looking forward to an awesome Monday as we get into this new week. You stay safe, take care and good bye πππ Hakuna Matata π.
