I decided to take a peaceful walk to Marina do Freixo. The city was quiet and the gentle rhythm of the Douro River guided me along the way.
It was a cold and cloudy day, with gray skies that covered the sun completely. The weather felt very much like November in Portugal chilly and fresh, especially in the early hours of the day. I wore a warm jacket to stay comfortable in the cool air.

Estava um dia frio e nublado, com um c茅u cinzento que encobria completamente o sol. O tempo parecia muito com o de Novembro em Portugal, frio e fresco, sobretudo nas primeiras horas do dia. Usei um casaco quente para ficar confort谩vel no ar fresco.
The city was very quiet as I started my walk. The streets were mostly empty, and I could only hear the soft sound of my footsteps and the occasional chirping of birds. I love walking early in the morning because everything feels calm and peaceful. On this particular day, the quiet felt even stronger because of the cloudy weather and cool temperature.

A cidade estava muito tranquila quando iniciei a minha caminhada. As ruas estavam quase vazias e eu s贸 conseguia ouvir o som suave dos meus passos e o ocasional chilrear dos p谩ssaros. Adoro caminhar de manh茫 cedo porque tudo parece calmo e tranquilo. Neste dia em particular, o sil锚ncio tornou-se ainda mais forte por causa do tempo nublado e da temperatura amena.
The path to the marina runs alongside the beautiful Douro River. As I walked closer, I could hear the gentle sound of the water flowing. The river looked calm, with small ripples breaking the surface. Its color was darker than usual because of the gray sky above, but it was still beautiful.

O caminho para a marina segue ao longo do bonito Rio Douro. Ao aproximar-me, pude ouvir o som suave da 谩gua a fluir. O rio parecia calmo, com pequenas ondula莽玫es a romper a superf铆cie. A sua cor estava mais escura do que o normal por causa do c茅u cinzento acima, mas mesmo assim era lindo.
When I arrived at Marina do Freixo, I was greeted by the sight of boats gently rocking in the water. The marina was almost empty, with only a few people around. The boats were colorful and neatly tied up at the docks. Some were small fishing boats, while others were shiny yachts used for leisure. The boats added a splash of color to the otherwise gray morning.

Quando cheguei 脿 Marina do Freixo, fui recebido pela vis茫o de barcos a balan莽ar suavemente na 谩gua. A marina estava quase vazia, com poucas pessoas por perto. Os barcos eram coloridos e bem amarrados nas docas. Alguns eram pequenos barcos de pesca, enquanto outros eram iates brilhantes utilizados para lazer. Os barcos acrescentaram um toque de cor 脿 manh茫 cinzenta.
I walked slowly along the marina, taking in the peaceful view. The only sounds were the gentle creaking of the boats and the soft splash of water against the dock. Every now and then, I heard the call of a seagull flying above. The marina felt like a quiet little world of its own, far away from the noise and busyness of the city.

Caminhei lentamente ao longo da marina, apreciando a vista tranquila. Os 煤nicos sons eram o suave ranger dos barcos e o suave barulho da 谩gua contra o cais. De vez em quando, ouvia o chamamento de uma gaivota a voar acima. A marina parecia um pequeno mundo tranquilo, longe do barulho e da agita莽茫o da cidade.
Looking across the river, I could see the outlines of buildings in the distance. They appeared soft and blurry because of the morning mist, adding to the dreamlike feeling of the day.

Olhando para o outro lado do rio, consegui ver os contornos dos edif铆cios ao longe. Pareciam suaves e desfocados por causa da n茅voa matinal, aumentando a sensa莽茫o de sonho do dia.
The marina was so quiet that it felt like time had slowed down. There were only a few other people around some walking like me, and others simply sitting and enjoying the calm atmosphere.

A marina estava t茫o silenciosa que parecia que o tempo tinha abrandado. Havia apenas algumas outras pessoas 脿 volta, algumas a caminhar como eu, e outras simplesmente sentadas e a desfrutar da atmosfera calma.
November mornings in Portugal can feel cold, but that chill has a special charm. It makes you appreciate the little things, like the warmth of your clothes or the simple pleasure of moving your body as you walk. The cold air also makes the calm surroundings feel even more peaceful. It's a time when everything feels fresh and quiet, and you can really focus on the world around you.

As manh茫s de Novembro em Portugal podem ser frias, mas este friozinho tem um encanto especial. Faz com que valorize as pequenas coisas, como o calor da roupa ou o simples prazer de mexer o corpo ao caminhar. O ar frio tamb茅m torna o ambiente calmo ainda mais tranquilo. 脡 um momento em que tudo parece fresco e tranquilo, e pode realmente concentrar-se no mundo que o rodeia.
The Douro River flowed steadily and I found myself lost in its gentle rhythm. The river always has a calming effect on me, especially on quiet mornings like this. It feels timeless, like it has been flowing this way for centuries and will continue to do so long into the future.

O Rio Douro corria de forma constante e perdi-me no seu ritmo suave. O rio tem sempre um efeito calmante em mim, principalmente em manh茫s tranquilas como esta. Parece intemporal, como se flu铆sse desta forma h谩 s茅culos e continuaria a fluir por muito tempo no futuro.
If you ever find yourself in Porto, I highly recommend visiting Marina do Freixo, especially on a calm, overcast morning. It's a place where you can connect with nature, enjoy the beauty of the Douro River and feel the peaceful rhythm of life.
