As her story says, she escaped her employer and headed to the embassy to reach some help. Unfortunately, the embassy itself is a worthless piece of sheet that did nothing due to the reason that her employer took her passport. So, because of this, she had to waste a whole year there for nothing.
A month ago, a news here in my county had been trending, the news is about an OFW's(Overseas Filipino Worker) dead body being found in a refrigerator. The story also came from the same country where our guest came from and as the news says, the employer murdered the poor Filipino and hid her body in a refrigerator.
Because of the said news the president of Philippines ordered for an employment ban in the Middle East. Along with that order is also the help to send Filipinos in the Middle East back in the Philippines for free. Our guest should had spent more time wandering around that country if this news hadn't emerged. On other words, with her only spending a year there in Jedah, we can still call her lucky.
I think this problem is something that wouldn't be solved soon and I think these could be one of the things blockchain could solve somewhere in the future.
People here tend to talk like that their own country is inferior to other countries. They think that their state of lives are bad because of the government. You see? Can you see the problem there? Most people here in my country believes that the problem is the government and not theirselves. The fact that they believe that a diploma or an OFW job makes you successful is already a problem.
For me, working as an OFW is the way that you admit that you are a loser that you are incompetent that you have to violate who you are for the terms of money. That is straight up sh**. Whenever watch documentaries or interviews from people that cry and say that due to tough life nowadays they suffer a lot and they cannot do anything. Really? Or you guys just do not do anything?
People here tend to spend more time making gossips, slacking off, looking afar doing nothing and then tell to theirselves that such activities are okay while its not. And worst thing about it, they are even proud of just doing those things. We call these peoples Tambay.
I think I had already said much here, what I can tell is that the problem isn't really the environment neither the government but the people itself. As they say, people should admit to theirselves that the problem is theirselves and then aim for an improvement but as far as I can see that now, that wouldn't happen soon.
Anyway, I am really busy these past days and I had no time to post. I think that this post isn't that good either(and so are my other posts XD) but I needed to express myself from all these frustrations, if anyone who reads this gets offended just remember that this is only my opinion and not a financial advice. XD
