We used to do the 'Sinterklaas' holiday with gifts and such, but last year, we skipped the gifts and just had dinner together. We're doing that again this year and everyone is making something. Desserts were already taken, so that means no delicious panna cotta from me. Basically, only a main course was left! My grandmother is already making the meat and we'll have plenty of food, so I don't have to make much.
First, I thought maybe I'll just make a side dish, then I decided on pancakes with figs and goat cheese. I don't have many interesting dinner recipes, so I really didn't have any other ideas. Then, we had pizza and I thought about the pizza that's not available anymore: figs and goat cheese.
So now, I'm going to make a figs and goat cheese pizza for satuday! Writing about it now, I just thought about the bacon that I forgot to order.
We ordered groceries and will be picking them up tonight. I just forgot that the pizza also needs bacon. Guess we'll have to pick up a few extra items. Bacon and blueberries, which we use for breakfast.
Tonight, we'll have a store-bought dinner salad, because we'll be picking up the groceries around dinner time and I don't feel like cooking once we're back. Tomorrow, my boyfriend will be working late, so it's just me. I'll just throw a pizza in the oven for that.
So this weekend is the family dinner on saturday. My boyfriend wanted to sleep over at my mum's afterwards, since our cabin is quite a bit further way, so we'll first head over to her and go to the family in one car. Before we go there though, we'll head over to my house, because someone is coming over the pick up the couch. Let's hope this one actually shows up!
Sunday, we'll head over to my house aswell, because our bed will be picked up. That's two furnitures gone, yay! Still have three things that I want to get rid of, but atleast this is a good start.
Oh, and in other news, we played Ark again yesterday! We went on a trip to get more chittin for our chemistry bench. We can now create loads of things extra fast with this bench! My boyfriend wants to make scuba gear, so we can dive down and explore the bottom of the bay we live next to. It's called Viking bay and we should be able to dive down to some ships. How awesome is that?
Anyway, more on that once we manage to get down there.
