Frozen in Time: The Magic of Street Photography | Lithuania
The camera freezes a moment in time. In doing so, photographers are lucky—they get to fully experience that moment, completely present, something many people strive for. It’s a thought I’ve always lived by intuitively and recently came across in a photography book.
Street photography, in particular, amplifies this feeling. There’s no staging, no second chances—just raw, unscripted life unfolding in front of the lens. Every click of the shutter is a reminder to slow down, observe, and appreciate the beauty hidden in the ordinary.
That's why I love wandering around with my camera, capturing moments that may never repeat themselves. It's similar to meditation, a flow where the camera becomes and extention of you and you freeze the world that surrounds you. Isn't that so freaking magical? 😀
When I photograph outdoors, I lose myself in the moments unfolding in front of me. It’s a practice I’d recommend to anyone—whether you’re walking around with a phone camera or a professional setup. It allows you to connect with the world around you in a deeper way, making you more aware of the details we often overlook in our everyday rush.
