Modern Ranked – Bracket 2: Relenor Cleaver Is Getting Savage!
Another day, another battle in Modern Ranked!
This time, I'm experimenting with something different. After spending quite some time around the 2,900–3,000 rating range last season, I started noticing certain Archons and units that consistently gave my lineups a hard time.
Instead of just complaining about how difficult they were to deal with, I decided to try them myself!
So, I've been renting some of those Archons and units that previously destroyed my lineup. Sometimes, the best way to understand how strong a strategy is is to experience using it yourself.
Elias Max Pruitt – One of My Favorite Archons Right Now
One Archon that has really caught my attention lately is Elias Max Pruitt.
I'm starting to enjoy experimenting with his abilities and finding different combinations that can make the most out of his potential.
My favorite units to pair with Elias Max Pruitt right now are:
- Commander Slade
- Conclave Tracker
- Anasth Soothsayer
These are some of the units I'm particularly enjoying with this Archon. I'm still experimenting with different lineups, but this combination has become one of my favorites.
And honestly, it's fun to finally use some of the strategies that used to give me a headache last season!
Relenor Cleaver Is Getting Savage!
Now, here's another unit that deserves some attention: Relenor Cleaver!
Luckily, the ruleset in this match gave me the opportunity to include Relenor Cleaver in my lineup.
I wouldn't always have the chance to squeeze this unit into every battle, so when the ruleset allows it, I'm definitely taking advantage of the opportunity.
And seeing Relenor Cleaver getting involved in the action makes the battle even more interesting!
Sometimes, a good lineup isn't just about having powerful cards. It's also about recognizing which rulesets give certain units the opportunity to shine.
Still Experimenting, Still Learning
My goal this season is to become more familiar with the Archons and units that I struggled against last season.
The 2,900–3,000 rating range was quite challenging for me, and I encountered plenty of combinations that punished my usual strategies.
Now, I'm trying to turn those frustrating encounters into learning experiences.
I'm still far from mastering these lineups, but I'm enjoying the process of discovering new combinations and figuring out how to use them effectively.
Let's see how far Elias Max Pruitt and Relenor Cleaver can take me this season!
Good luck with your battles, everyone. See you on the battlefield!
