"One of the things that have made Chai Lai Instagram famous so to speak is their elephant room service. This is where the elephants and their mahouts come down to your room to wake you up in the morning with the most delicious multi-tiered breakfast and you can choose between a Thai breakfast or a Western one. The food, oh my gosh the food, best on earth."

"...This is the only city I have visited in the last few years where there are absolutely no abandoned buildings. There are no closed shops or storefronts plastered with posters that they are for rent. Not to mention that there are no homeless, drifters and shady characters offering hashish on the corner."

"‘The House of Weird Warnings’ had a reputation to live up to, and this was just the beginning. Strange creepy messages about knives, abuse and a room full of the number ‘13’ were all on the menu. Perhaps I would see a ghostly apparition of the knife wielder. Occasionally you get lucky, or so I am told. I’m still waiting - just like Diana."
