Marrakech, a fascinating city. A destination completely different from any other. A whole new adventure for me. As much as one gets tired of seeing and hearing everything that is said about this city, it's impossible not to be amazed by such a picturesque and austere culture. Knowing Marrakech is a way of living the Moroccan culture very different even compared to any other city in the country. It's the city where many stories and ideas that Westerners have of North Africa were born.

Despite the rainy weather and the low sky, I went for a walk in this area of central Paris where I don't really go very often. I was very surprised not to see as many people in the streets as I would have thought. Apparently, a lot of Parisians have already left for their holidays and family reunions and this was confirmed to me by several shopkeepers, we don't witness anymore this great final sprint to make presents which, still according to the shopkeepers I met, would be already ready since October/November. A new habit since the pandemic, they told me...

Carrying the tagline, "Where the city meets the shade", it is a fairly new park at Al Reem Island in Abu Dhabi. It has lots of plants and trees planted around it, all native to the region. There are indeed lots of shades to retreat to even on a sunny day.
