🥇 Porto Moniz, Madeira, Portugal by @alexanderfluke

In this article, I will tell you about the tiny town of Porto Moniz located in the northwestern part of the island. The town is really tiny, but with a twist — only here you will find the unique natural pools where you can swim in real ocean water among huge pieces of frozen lava. The volcanic origin of Madeira has left its traces all over the island, but it is most noticeable on its northern coast, where in many places the shore is frozen lava flows. In one of these places, the town of Porto Moniz was built.

🥈 Jasper National Park: The end of an era, Maligne Lake, Canada by @ladybug146

First I want to go over a quick area we visited but the day wasn't picturesque, to be honest I'm not sure the area was all that photogenic, at least in the winter months but worth mentioning because it's a beautiful hike nonetheless and close to the town of Jasper in the Parkway area. This was the day after the toe incident but @silvergingerman was ok for a bit of a hike and this is the one he picked out, I personally thought it was more of a summer hike but sure let's go... We are here to explore anyway.

🥉 TacoCat’s Travels #99 (Japan 4.0: Fukuoka): Sunset in Lovers' Sanctuary! 💕 by @taco.cat

So if you didn't catch the last couple of posts, we're currently on a journey in Fukuoka that we went on back in May 2017! Neither of us had ever been to that part of Japan before and since there were some cheap flights we decided to go explore a new region together! Here we go! Last week, we started our day by going to visit Japan's tallest seaside structure - Fukuoka Tower! We went by in the late afternoon in anticipation for the perfect viewing during the sunset. But we were a little too early, so in the meantime, we went to explore the beach and had a little picnic!
