Fast-forward to NEXT MORNING!
The Discovery
THURSDAY….
I woke up about 5:00 am due to a pressing urine which felt like a dream. I remembered I was to carry out a pregnancy test using my first urine of the day.
I got a container and passed the urine into it, after which, I dipped the test trip as instructed and laid it flat and waited for the result.
Guess what? the result turned out positive. Two deep red lines were boldly printed on the test trip and I didn't find it funny at all. I began to panick somehow.
I woke my younger sister up from sleep and showed her the test result and she was shocked to her bones. I was pregnant! she sat up right away, cleaned her eyes, collected the test trip from me and looked at it properly then she dropped it and covered her mouth with her hands.
She later called out to me and said, you're pregnant, will you tell him? this was where it hit me hard because, I wasn't married, I just finished from the University and I was pregnant.
I also wondered how the impregnator will deal with the news, although he had met my family earlier and declared his intention to settle down with me.
When it was broad daylight, I called and informed Impregnator that I was pregnant and the news came to him like a great shocker. He told me that I should go do an ultrasound scan in order to know how many weeks the pregnancy was.
I went and did the ultrasound scan and I was told that I was six weeks gone already. I informed Impregnator and he told me he wasn't ready to shoulder the issues that comes with pregnancy.
I informed my mother of my pregnancy and she advised I keep the pregnancy, that she needed grandchildren from me. You know a typical African woman's mentality.
I decided to keep the pregnancy with or without the presence of impregnator in the life of my child.
Later on when I was two months gone, I and Impregnator started having series of issues. I decided to breakup with him and move out my belongings from his house.
He came to my family and begged me back into his life and then, we continued the relationship. In all these, I wasn't living with him consistently. I live in another locality far away from his but in the same state.
LIFE AS A PREGGO
At some points in my life, I began to feel highly emotional and I cried a lot more.
Most older women started advising me with different advice, some people started telling me their life stories too
