The street where one of my aunt lives and gossip is like butter and milk in a doughnut. The street is just like a small community and they know everyone who lives on that street. If one wants to find out anything about anyone or know about any property on that street, one just needs to get closer to the street sellers there and ask any question and they will tell you all they know.
Funny enough, some people's lives there are not really private. Sometimes one will think he or she is very secretive or is really hiding their lifestyle, until you hear your gist outside, you will just be more than shocked.

Top Street !Gossip
There is this lady who moved into the community about three years ago. According to gossip, my aunty said she heard that the lady was from a very poor home and that a man paid for the house she just moved into. They said the man was the age of her father. The man always came to visit her in her house and some people were always carrying their noses up. One day, the man never showed up again and gossip had it that they had broken up.
My Aunt said she saw the girl at the waterleaf farm, planting waterleaf for people. Some women whom she planted waterleaf for, began to ask about her life. Surprisingly, she narrated some things to them, thinking that they cared, whereas they just wanted to know so they could gossip.
The girl was later able to save up some money she got from planting for others at their waterleaf farms. She later rented her own space in the bush and started planting waterleaf for herself. She carved out two beds from her little space and started making sales. She later rented a bigger space in the bush and removed five beds of waterleaf added to the other one she had, it was now seven beds of waterleaf.
Little by little she grew and expanded in the waterleaf business. She also opened a provision store somewhere in the community where she sold foodstuffs and other items. She became the talk of the street again. People said she was beginning to have a lot of money and that no man would be able to marry her because of her level of financial independence. Some said she was not educated and she will not be able to get married.
This lady began to expand so much that she bought a small property of her own. Year before last, there was a young man whom people started noticing around her. They started gossiping that he was only going to use her and dump her. Before the neighborhood knew it, she got engaged by the guy and later on started distributing her wedding invitation to people in the community.
She finally got married to the young man and gossip grew that she used her money to marry the man. They said she did everything with her money and that she married out of desperation because she was getting old. Gossip even had it that she will not be able to conceive because of her age. But as fate will have it, she conceived that same year and gave birth to her baby the next year. People even said her marriage might not last up till one year because they felt she was practically the breadwinner and will be controlling her husband.
Today, the tone of gossip has changed because things did not go as predicted. She gave birth to a handsome son, she is still doing her businesses, she is still in her marriage and people later found out that her husband was actually a very successful wealthy business man from the East.
The first daughter of the main street gossip who sees everything negative in other people's children has gotten pregnant. She ran out of her parent's house for four months and only returned three days ago looking so kean with a big protruding tummy. She does not know who the impregnator is. Now they are the talk of the town. The chief gossiper has now become the gossiped.
In this life, just do you because people will still gossip.
