Hello Dear Steemians,

Having cluttered thoughts for the past few days resulted to No-Post for a week! Danggg!!! Yeah, that's crazzzyyyy.... 😑 Having lots of ideas ended to — being confused on what to post... but with tonight's fun time with the fambam, I was able to break the straight 7 days of not posting.

Let me share you how our night turned to be a fun bonding to a LAUGH 'TILL YOU DROP moment!

We are real boardgame lovers as we find it one of the best way to bond with family and friends — having fun while learning! Great isn't it?

Tonight we unboxed the Monopoly boardgame that we bought almost a year back... that unlocked the boring night...

BRIEF INFO ABOUT MONOPOLY BOARDGAME

Monopoly is a board game and it's objective is to be the wealthiest player through buying properties, developing them to houses and hotels, renting it to their opponents until opponents declare bankruptcy. As per WikiPedia it was published by Parker Brothers in 1935.

It has to be played by two or more (the more the merrier 😉) and needs the following:

  • Banker who manages the cash flow of the bank.
  • Tokens and Two Six-Sided Dice that will be used by players to move around the board
  • Monopoly Gameboard
  • Title Deed Cards as proof of purchase whenever a player buys the property
  • Chance and Community Chest Cards that holds different consequences or rewards where a player can lose or gain money
  • Green Houses and Red Hotels for developing the property bought by players

HOW TO PLAY

  • Each player will be given $1500 — (2 x $500) / (4 x $100) / (1 x $50) / (1 x $20) / (2 x $10) / (1 x $5) / (5 x $1)
  • Each player has one token that will represent him and everyone should start at GO square.
  • Each player will roll the dice and the one who'll get the highest total number will be the first player — then will rotate in clockwise
  • Player can buy the property where ever he landed unless other player already owned the property — IF ALREADY OWNED then you've to pay the rent as per the Title Deed
  • If the player landed again in the same property he already bought then he can opt to buy house — one house each time he landed with maximum of 4 houses, on the fifth time he can buy Hotel.
  • You've to pick one card from Chance and Community Chest whenever you landed on Chance/Community Chest box
  • Player will directly goes to jail whenever he landed to Go To Jail box and can only come out if he throws doubles on any of his 3 turns, using Get Out Of Jail Free card or paying $50 fines before you roll the dice on either your next two turns.
  • Whenever you do not have enough money, you can avail loan from the bank by putting your property under mortgage or Selling your property to your opponents.
  • Bankruptcy is when you owe more than you can pay either to another player or to the bank

So we started the game... pingcess@pingcess, prinsepong@prinsepong, lhyn@lhyn and donaldd@donaldd

We've been playing Monopoly for years now so we are very much familiar with the names of the properties and stations. We have our favorites and one of those is MAYFAIR property as it has the highest rental cost.

And while we were having fun, we slowly noticed that it has different property names — actually, unfamiliar names. We continue as we thought it's just a different version as we also saw another type of Monopoly where instead of owning properties, you'll be buying company — well known company names.

We thought that the name of the streets are like French names:

Then we found an error on one of the Title Deed card which we though was just a typo-error and you can see, we put the correction.

You can see that MATIGNON was written on both cards which one should be Malesherbes.

Again we continued playing as we are having fun with the goal of driving our opponents into bankruptcy.

Then another Title Deed card seems not right;

Both cards are identical though the word STREET was misspelled on the right card — streeF

But still, it didn't stop us... UNTIL lhyn@lhyn picked a CHANCE card that says:

Advance to CHRIST REDEEMER. IF YOU PASS "GO", COLLECT $200.

We searched that Christ Redeemer but there is no property with such name... ?!?!? WTH! 😏 then while flipping some Title Deed cards, we saw this:

Okaayyy,,, where it came frommmm??

And there's EIFFEL TOWER too!!! 🤣🤣🤣

So,, we're already jumping to a conclusion — these are not just a typo-error 🤣🤣🤣

Ohh by the way, we were never informed that in TRAIN STATIONS you can have AEROPORTS 🤣🤣🤣

And YES this CONFIRMED everything!! 🤣🤣🤣

Remember what WikiPedia said?!?! 😂

Well, it still turned out to be a fun filled game specially when kuya donaldd@donaldd can't do anything when ate lhyn@lhyn sold her properties to him for $1200 while original price was only $200 and yet on mortgage of about half. 😂😂😂

Indeed a LAUGH 'TILL WE DROPPED moment with loved ones. Another happy memories banked not just in our mind but in our hearts.
