[ES-EN] Conoce los colores de mi Arcoiris/ Introducing my Rainbow to you

Querida Familia Hive. Primero agradecer a mi estimada amiga @deboravillarvera, la primera
persona que me presento este proyecto, y quien me invitara al evento que se realizó en la Galería
Taller Gorria. Ese día conocí parte de la comunidad cubana de Hive, integrada mayormente por
jóvenes muy apasionados y solidarios. Pude apreciar y admirar a través de las conferencias de estos jóvenes todas las posibilidades que esta plataforma ofrece a sus miembros. Allí también
conocí a @theinfiltred, de quien estoy muy agradecido por ser quien me ayuda y guía en el proceso de registrarme y conocer el funcionamiento interno de este fascinante mundo de Hive.

Dear Hive Family. First of all, I would like to thank my dear friend @deboravillarvera, the first person who introduced me to this project, and who invited me to the event that took place at Galería Taller Gorria Workshop. That day I met part of the Cuban community of Hive, composed mostly by very passionate and supportive young people. I was able to appreciate and admire through the lectures of these young people all the possibilities that this platform offers its members. There I also met @theinfiltred, to whom I am very grateful for being the one who helps and guides me in the process of registering and knowing the inner workings of this fascinating world of Hive.

Mi nombre es Ernesto Peña Pou (@pinero). Nací en 1970 en la Isla de la Juventud, una pequeña
y hermosa isla al sur del archipiélago cubano. Rodeado de mar y abrigado por las bellas
montañas de mármol, que posteriormente marcaron mi preferencia por la escultura en este clásico material. Desde pequeño me gustaba pintar y también modelar figuras con plastilina. Ya a los 10 años comence a estudiar cerámica artística, iniciando así una carrera de estudios en el
mundo de las Artes Plásticas. Desde el Nivel Elemental de Arte, la Escuela Nacional de Arte, el
Instituto Superior de Arte, hasta la Maestría en Arte, durante 17 años. Así fui formado en
Escultura, Pintura, Grabado, Dibujo, Diseño, etc. Pero el arte, más que una profesión, lo
considero una expresión de sentimientos, un sentir la vida, un latido del corazón cuando es
sorprendido por las bellezas de la existencia.

My name is Ernesto Peña Pou (@pinero). I was born in 1970 on the Isle of Youth, a small and beautiful island in the south of the Cuban archipelago. Surrounded by sea and sheltered by beautiful marble mountains, which later marked my preference for sculpture in this classic material. Since I was a child I liked to paint and also to model figures with plasticine. At the age of 10 I began to study artistic ceramics, thus initiating a career of studies in the world of Plastic Arts. From the Elementary Level of Art, the National School of Art, the Higher Institute of Art, to the Master's Degree in Art, for 17 years. Thus I was trained in Sculpture, Painting, Engraving, Drawing, Design, etc. But art, more than a profession, I consider it an expression of feelings, a feeling of life, a beating of the heart when it is surprised by the beauties of existence.

Ya tengo más de 30 años de carrera artística, y me gusta compartir mi trabajo con mi familia,
amigos y el público, dando un mensaje humanista y creativo. En este tiempo mi pintura ha sido esencialmente abstracta, llegando incluso en la actualidad a la pintura digital. Este estilo pictórico
me permite plasmar mis vivencias, sentimientos y estados de ánimo, haciendo catarsis sobre el
lienzo. Durante estas décadas mis obras han sido expuestas en 19 exposiciones personales en
Cuba, Venezuela y Estados Unidos de América; y también he sido invitado a participar en más de 60 muestras colectivas en Cuba y en otros países tales como Francia, Argentina, Estados Unidos de América, Martinica, Checoslovaquia, Venezuela y Canadá. Además se me han otorgado varios premios en concursos municipales y nacionales.

I already have more than 30 years of artistic career, and I like to share my work with my family, friends and the public, giving a humanistic and creative message. During this time my painting has been essentially abstract, even reaching nowadays to digital painting. This pictorial style allows me to capture my experiences, feelings and moods, making catharsis on the canvas. During these decades my works have been exhibited in 19 personal exhibitions in Cuba, Venezuela and the United States of America; and I have also been invited to participate in more than 60 group exhibitions in Cuba and in other countries such as France, Argentina, United States of America, Martinique, Czechoslovakia, Venezuela and Canada. I have also been awarded several prizes in municipal and national contests.

En el nivel medio superior y en la universidad me especialice en escultura. Especialidad que me
ha dado grandes satisfacciones debido a la realización de esculturas ambientales, tanto en
simposios y eventos nacionales e internacionales, como a modo de encargos para diferentes instituciones en Cuba y Venezuela. Mi gran pasión es el mármol, material en el que realice mi
primera obra a los 14 años, con la que se me otorgo el 1er premio en el salón nacional de escuelas de arte en 1984. La talla en mármol me ha dado la satisfacción de obtener otros
premios, pero fundamentalmente me ha dado el placer de la creación. Para mí lo esencial es
crear, nunca estoy en busca de premios o del mercado. Pienso que la libertad del acto creador es fundamental para un artista, y que debe ocurrir sin las ataduras que el dinero o la fama pretenden
imponer, pues mi obra está en constante experimentación de nuevos formatos, ideas y formas.

In high school and college I specialized in sculpture. Specialty that has given me great satisfactions due to the realization of environmental sculptures, both in symposiums and national and international events, as well as commissions for different institutions in Cuba and Venezuela. My great passion is marble, material in which I made my first work at the age of 14, with which I was awarded the 1st prize in the national salon of art schools in 1984. Marble carving has given me the satisfaction of obtaining other prizes, but it has prizes, but fundamentally it has given me the pleasure of creation. For me the essential thing is I am never in search of prizes or the market. I think that the freedom of the creative act is fundamental for an artist, and that it must happen without the ties that money or fame pretend to impose, because my work is in constant experimentation of new formats, ideas and forms.

En 2010 realice estudios no concluidos de Homeopatía, Medicina China y Naturopatia en
Venezuela. Aprendí que enfermedades consideradas incurables tienen solución o alivio con las terapias de las medicinas alternativas. En los últimos años me dedico a promover la medicina
naturopatica entre la población. Uso sus enseñanzas para ayudar a otros a mantenerse saludables. Eliminar la ignorancia mediante el acceso al conocimiento es el mejor método para
crear entre todos una sociedad de bienestar físico, mental y espiritual. Uní el arte y la medicina en
la práctica de un activismo social, realizando eventos, conferencias, cursos y otras actividades para lograr que el ciudadano deje de ser un paciente y se convierta en haciente, tomando en sus manos la responsabilidad de su salud a través de las terapias naturales y la conexión con la
naturaleza.

In 2010 I completed unfinished studies in Homeopathy, Chinese Medicine and Naturopathy in Venezuela. I learned that diseases considered incurable have a solution or relief with alternative medicine therapies. In the last few years I have dedicated myself to promote naturopathic medicine among the population. I use its teachings to help others to stay healthy. Eliminating ignorance through access to knowledge is the best method to create a society of physical, mental and spiritual well-being. I unite art and medicine in the practice of social activism, holding events, conferences, courses and other activities to make the citizen stop being a patient and become a self healer, taking in their hands the responsibility of their own health through natural therapies and the connection with nature.

Me gusta el mar, la luna, vivir según las leyes de la naturaleza. Cultivo la amistad, el respeto al
derecho del otro, creo en la democracia y en la participación de los ciudadanos como única forma de conseguir una sociedad mejor. Soy ovolactovegetariano. Disfruto igualmente otras artes como
el cine, el ballet, el teatro, la literatura, la música, la danza, etc. La fotografía es uno de mis hobbies y tengo en la poesía una aliada que escucha los pesares y alegrías de mi corazón. Por eso también escribo versos que seguramente compartiré con ustedes. La música es mi otra aliada, pues aun persevero en aprender a tocar piano y guitarra, además de gustarme el arte de componer canciones.

I like the sea, the moon, living according to the laws of nature. I cultivate friendship, respect for the rights of others, I believe in democracy and in the participation of citizens as the only way to achieve a better society. I am an ovo-lacto vegetarian. I also enjoy other arts such as cinema, ballet, theater, literature, music, dance, etc. Photography is one of my hobbies and I have in poetry an ally that listens to the sorrows and joys of my heart. That is why I also write verses that I will surely share with you. Music is my other ally, as I still persevere in learning to play piano and guitar, besides enjoying the art of composing songs.

Hive es una plataforma digital y yo soy un migrante digital. Cuando terminé la universidad en
1995, no sabía lo que era una computadora pues eran algo muy novedoso y escaso en aquel entonces. Posteriormente realice cursos de computación y después con la práctica aprendí más.
Me fascinan las posibilidades del mundo digital y espero seguir aprendiendo con la ayuda de los más jóvenes. Tengo experiencia de trabajo con compañías internacionales de China, Perú y
México dentro del multinivel y el network marketing. Y en los últimos años me he adentrado en el fascinante mundo de las cryptomonedas, de las cuales soy un ferviente defensor. Creo en el
poder de la economía solidaria y cooperativa como el mejor recurso para lograr el bienestar colectivo.

Hive is a digital platform and I am a digital migrant. When I finished college in 1995, I did not know what a computer was because they were something very new and scarce at that time. Later I took computer courses and then with practice I learned more. I am fascinated by the possibilities of the digital world and I hope to continue learning with the help of younger people. I have experience of working with international companies from China, Peru and Mexico in multilevel and network marketing. And in recent years I have delved into the fascinating world of cryptocurrencies, of which I am a fervent advocate. I believe in the power of solidarity and cooperative economy as the best resource to achieve collective welfare.
