I tracked a broken cage truck filled with bodies before exploring the realistic bridge layout. After encountering giant variants, my Ranger truck sustained heavy damage and caught fire. Forced to abandon the vehicle, I engaged in hand-to-hand combat before being completely overwhelmed by an aggressive Biter.
I drove the newly found Ranger truck directly to the designated spot where I had to search for a chimera. Upon arrival, a massive monster that closely resembled a chimera lunged forward to attack my position, but I maintained my momentum and kept moving ahead to stay clear of its reach.
I navigated the streets and eventually reached the specific truck I was assigned to locate, noting that its rear doors were flung wide open. I pulled over to inspect the vehicle and discovered a heavy cage inside that had been completely broken open, surrounded by numerous scattered bodies.
I paused at the scene for a brief moment to document the layout using photo mode. The surrounding suspension bridges stood out beautifully against the sky, showcasing the incredibly detailed and realistic graphics of the urban environment.
Since the missing chimera was nowhere to be found near the wreckage and the immediate plaza was completely swarming with common infected, I turned the vehicle around and drove back to where I last spotted the initial beast. I failed to locate it again, noticing another giant variant instead that I chose to ignore for the time being.
While driving around the block to find a safer entry point to the objective area, my truck took too much structural damage, completely wrecking the engine and releasing thick black smoke.
At that exact moment, an infected jumped directly onto the front flatbed, aggressively tracking my movements through the back glass. It seemed like the infected was trying to tell me, "just come out once".
With the vehicle on the verge of exploding from the fire, I leaped out of the driver's side and scrambled a short distance away to safety. The stowaway infected rushed forward to launch an attack, but I stood my ground and managed to eliminate him using a quick fistfight.
Suddenly, a terrifyingly fast infected leapt at me out of nowhere, a variant that I believe is officially called a Biter. I was caught completely off guard by its exceptionally long, mutated fingers and its wildly aggressive behavior as it closed the distance.
I attempted to defend myself and take the creature down using my available weapons, but the speed of the attack was too overwhelming. Before I could establish a safe distance, the creature, joined by a small cluster of surrounding infected, managed to break my guard and take me down instead.
