I'm a 2004 Tsunami survivor from Aceh. I was doing my undergraduate thesis proposal when Tsunami hit my place on 26 December 2004. Just FYI, I'm the only alive in my elder sister's family since I was staying together with her, my brother in law, niece, and nephew in Kajhu, Aceh Besar, Aceh - Indonesia. The below picture is the mosque located just 500 metres from my sister's house.
Well, I was involved in Tsunami emergency response in various places with different humanitarian organisations, such as MSF-Belgium in Sigli, Oxfam GB in Banda Aceh, World Vision in Meulaboh, Tearfund UK in Banda Aceh, GTZ in Banda Aceh and also a UN Body called UNORC for Aceh and Nias in Gayo Lues.
Now I'm focusing on teaching secondary school learners in a district in Aceh. Thank you.
