Hi Friends!
Let's begin a long series of posts from my latest trip to Norway.
For over 2 weeks me and a couple of my friends explored Norway.
In the beginning a short background story, how we got there by car...
We start in Poland.
Drove to Gdynia and took a ferry to Karlskrona / Sweden.
From there we drove to Oslo Gardemoen airport and picked up one more dude.
From Oslo we went directly to our first stay - small town Heidal and a lovely camping ground there where we had a cabin for first 3 nights.
For our first full day in Norway we planned to go high in the mountains but the weather was too extreme - very strong wind, cold temperature and heavy rain showers.
The first landscape we saw looked like that:
After short visit on the parking site we decided to check out also Lake Gjende which was nearby.
We planned to take a ferry but not in such an extreme conditions so we checked the shoreline and I took a couple of shots there as well...
As the day passes we decided to look for interesting spots a bit lower in the valley where the weather was milder.
We found few spots with potential nice landscapes around and a couple of waterfalls.
I will show these locations in my next posts because it would be too many photos for one :).
On our way down the mountains we spotted first herd of reindeers close by the road.
They were not wild but still very beautiful. In a very short time many other cars also started to stop by the road to shoot the animals, making a large traffic jam - but it is how it is... everyone love Reins :).
And this was just a beginning of the first day... 13 more days left. I remember the excitation of incoming adventures I had. Love such feeling and I love Norway! It has so many to offer...
