It was a week ago, in the comment section of my #WednesdayWalk post, or maybe in someone else's post, but I remember very well that I said that I don't like rain, but it would be fun to take one walk in the rain... To be honest, I didn't plan deliberately to take a walk in the rain, but it happened spontaneously and I got one... 馃槂
When I stepped outside my home, it was cloudy, but that doesn't mean a lot in my area as it is often cloudy, but it doesn't rain in the end... So, I ignored that sign completely... Also, I didn't plan to take photos during the walk but rather focus my mind on some other stuff (read HIVE 馃槀)...
For that reason, I skipped taking my mobile phone for almost half of the walk, which was in total around 5-6 kilometers... But, when I saw these cuties, I had to take a photo, or two... Unfortunately, in those moments it was getting dark and the clouds very more intense, so the photos weren't as good as I would have liked...
I passed by that road many times, but I have never seen these sheep at this plot, so I suppose that it was recently sold as before, it was abandoned... I suppose that the new owner had an awesome idea to leave these guys to clean up the plot for him! Brilliant!
Not too far away from them, there is another plot, or better said ranch, where breed horses... There is this guy, his two horse friends, and a donkey on the whole plot... And the area is huge and they have a lot of space to have fun and eat juicy grass! I made more photos, but only this one was decent to share with you... (lack of light)
Speaking of light, I don't have to explain the thing with lack of light, you can see it for yourself... These clouds were coming right on me, and I was going in their direction!
And these two photos show from where I come... Obviously, I picked the wrong direction... 馃槄
But, OK... It wasn't raining... yet... everything is okay...
But, it WAS raining a few hours ago as there were raindrops on flowers and on everything else that I was photographing...
The rain is closer and closer...
While I was trying to catch the "right angle" to "find" the best colors on these oranges, a girl with a big golden retriever was coming in my direction... As the dog was bigger than the girl, he came directly to me asking for petting... 馃槂 It's funny, but every time I see a golden retriever, I have in mind this video...
Ignore the language, you will get the point... 馃ぃ
Let's continue our walk... When I was at 15-20 minutes to my finish point, it began to rain... Oh, I forgot to say that I had an umbrella despite the "anti-rain weather" in this area, I took it for "just in case"... Well, there was a case... lol...
While I was walking, I noticed that I was stepping on something like empty nuts shells, or something similar... and then I stopped to take a closer look...
Darn! Those were snails that had been waiting for this rain for ages, just to be able to cross the hot asphalt road!!! Imagine being a snail and you have to cross the road while it is like 50 Degrees Celsius!! No way! I remember when I went fishing on a hot day and saw a snake coming out of the water, trying to hide in the bushes, but she didn't make it as she had to go over very, very hot stones...
It was the same for these poor creatures, but with rain, they had a chance! As the road doesn't have too much traffic, probably hundreds of them made it... Unfortunately, not those few that I accidentally stepped over... 馃槥
Again, sorry about the image quality, I had to juggle with the phone in one hand, umbrella in the other, and trying to stay dry as much as possible... But, I asked for a rain walk, and I got it!!! Can't complain!
