I know how many times we hear the same thing over and over again... "Hive is complicated...""It's hard to explain VESTS, HP, RC, Voting Power, etc." And because of all that, I was (and I'm still until a certain level) obsessed with an idea that we need more time, and more money to invest in educating people about our platform... I even remember the chat with @livinguktaiwan on a similar topic at HiveBeeCon in Krakow, where she probably wanted to "open my eyes" that maybe education (in the way I imagined) would not work...

During the day, I decided that I would not create content (failed! 馃槂), but rather would spend reading other authors... Luckily, I got inspired by 2 great posts from 2 great Hivians, @ablaze and @macchiata... So, let me share those posts and what triggered me to write this post...
@ablaze created a post where he was celebrating his 7th anniversary on the chain... He wrote a self-reflection post about his journey, highlights, regrets, and shared some tips for newbies to help them out with their first steps on HIVE... I remembered how many times I wrote posts with similar tips about engaging, supporting others, writing meaningful comments, etc.
On the other side, @macchiata wrote a long recap post of the event that she helped out with organization, how it went, the idea behind it, and some future looks at it... There was one specific part of the post that made me connect it with those "tips" that @ablaze shared in his post...
At the same time, during our contest, some of our participants were still found plagiarizing and using AI, and we sent their work to HW. We want to foster a community where originality and creativity have the utmost place. We do not tolerate abuse and are happy to work with anyone who combats those problems.
From both of these examples, newbies can learn what they should do, and what aren't welcome to do... But... Is it really important to SAY/WRITE these things? I mean, shouldn't certain behavior be obvious and NATURAL? In the end, this is a social media network!
The rules on this network are simple... If you stick to the Golden Rule, you should be perfectly fine!
Treat others as you would like others to treat you
Do not treat others in ways that you would not like to be treated
It is easy like that!

Would you like to see more meaningful comments on your posts? Well, read other posts to understand the author and his point of view... That will help you to write MEANINGFUL COMMENTS on their posts! When you respect others, they will respect you!
Would you like to get more upvotes? Go out and upvote those posts that you READ with your HivePower!
Would you like bigger upvotes? Stop powering down all your HP and stop delegating out all your HP, and YOU PICK people who you want to support... Lead by example! Other people will support you if you support others...
If you don't have anything to say, don't say it! You should rather skip a day without posting than create a post without value... Don't waste others' time as YOU probably wouldn't like that they waste yours!
There is no sense in continuing this list... You get the point... This is a social media platform, with real people... Appreciate them, communicate with them... You don't want to CHEAT your friends, you don't want to waste others' time...
