We had ugly weather for a long time... For a too long time... I think that it started to rain around the time when I posted my last #WednesdayWalk, which was over a month ago... So, when the sun shined, I have run out from the home for a long walk... The same day when I took this walk, I was already playing table tennis in the morning, and the walk was in the afternoon... A full day of activities after a month inside the home... Don't ask how it felt AFTER... :)
So, this walk was a bit more than 11 km in total, 5-6 km in one direction, and I have tried to go on a different way back home... Maybe I have already mentioned my "mental illness" of "not going home by the same path"... lol... Anyways, it was exhausting on one side, but the day was so beautiful and fulfilling that I didn't notice how time was running out... My legs did feel that, but luckily, when I was near home... 馃槂
During the walk, I shot more than 80 photos! When I came home, I had to cut some, and I left with 65 photos... As that would be still too many for the post, I had to delete around 20 more... Every photo has its own story, but I'm afraid that it would take too much of your valuable time...

The first photo that I have taken is right outside my apartment's door and the mountain view that I have every time when I go out... The beautiful blue sky with a couple of clouds was a promising start to a nice walk!
The first stop, or better-said checkpoint, is the seaside, which connects two towns with a promenade... After such a long period of bad weather and high waves, it was nice to see the sea so calm and peaceful...

The next checkpoint is a small harbor in the neighboring town...
...after that, a local beach with volleyball courts...
...and newly built promenade that leads to our next checkpoint...

The confluence of the small river to the sea... This part usually looks completely different... The river is very small and narrow, but after so much rain it grew a lot and this confluence of being just a meter wide, changed the seashore... In the battle between river and sea, the power of the river won! It looks very calm in the photo, but just a couple of days before, this image was totally different... Ducks like it like this more, for sure... :)

I didn't find any leprechauns under the bridge, but I did find small waterfalls... :)

The surroundings changed as I had to come back to the walking path...
Another duck couple enjoys a sunny day... We will meet them again later... :)

For all of you who know me, you know that I can't create a photo collection without some flowers... Well, to not disappoint someone, here you are a beautiful yellow flower!
This is one of the photos that you shoot seeing something very simple, almost boring, not interesting... and then you create the best photo from it... Definitely one of my favorites from this walk...
I took this photo as an example for my friend who wants to grow this type of grass in his orchard... In the end, I like it so much with this "burning" green color that I had to share it with you!

This bridge was the ending point of my route (in one direction)... 5-6km are down, now the same in the opposite direction... I have passed the bridge and went back, but this time, on the other side of the river... Btw. when it was raining heavily, the river wasn't going only under the bridge, but also over it!

Back to the path, passing by one of the "stone-built" fences... I have to admit that I'm impressed with their old-type walls and tradition of building them even these days... Yes, you can see concrete walls also, but the majority are built in this old way...

Like in many other parts of the world, humans do stupid things by "integrating" some plants or animals from other parts to "benefit" from that... In this example, the Spaniards brought one type of cane that grows faster because they have used it for creating roofs... As the new "guest" was much stronger than the "local breed", it was a threat to the complete biosystem of the river... Nowadays, they are trying to limit the invasive breed from spreading, and recover the native cane, by covering the ground with black plastic foils...
This is one of the famous cactuses in the area... It's kind of wild, but at a certain time of the year, it has beautiful yellow flowers... In the photo under you can see how it looks when the wind (or someone) breaks the cactus "leaf"... So there is the place where the cactus keeps the water! It looks so juicy...

I told you that we will meet the ducks again... That was on the second bridge that I had to cross to go back to the town and on my way home...
I thought that I have finished my photoshoot with ducks, but then I saw this great (and huge) mural on the school wall (which looks more like a prison wall as it's like 4-5 meters high!)... Different colors, different motives, with a message to save and protect our nature and biodiversity...
The sun was going lower and lower, but after taking this photo, I had another 3 kilometers more to come back home... Like I said in the beginning, it was a long walk, but I would mind repeating it again very soon... Just waiting for better weather... I will keep you informed in my next #Wednesdaywalk posts!
