For non-English speakers, the title could be a bit confusing... I suppose many of you have heard about the "Cosmopolitan" (or "Cosmo"), "The Women's Magazine for Dating Advice", but this is not a story about that... 馃槂 I remember hearing this word when I was maybe 15-16yo. I think it was on TV, when the narrator was describing some famous scientist (maybe Nikola Tesla, not 100% sure)... I liked the description, and as I was in my teenage years ("being lost" years), I decided to adopt it! From that moment, I wanted to describe myself as a cosmopolitan person!
Being a cosmopolitan person means you see yourself as a "citizen of the world" rather than someone limited by a single nation, hometown, or culture. The word comes from the Greek words cosmos (universe) and polites (citizen).

The story is a bit deeper than that, and to get to that moment, many things had to happen... Also, to get to THIS moment (of writing this post), many more things had to come into place, but let's try to get there (or here?)...
Before becoming a cosmopolitan person, I was a child of one nationality, born in a foreign country of another nationality... I never lived in "my" country of "origin", nor do I live at this moment...
Living in the former Yugoslavia, during the civil war among different "nationalities", I felt the weight of being "different"... The worst thing in war is that, even if you aren't directly involved in the conflict, you are lured into it... Most wars are fueled by nationality (or different tribalism, church, faith, skin color), and there is always collateral damage during the war... Well, I suppose I was among that too... As a "forming person", you feel that other children are looking at you strangely; you can't connect with others as they do among themselves... I felt like an outsider in the country where I was born, in the town where I lived from my birth... I suppose that's why I escaped into being a "citizen of the world", as you can't kick it out of the planet (yet 馃槂)... We are ALL cosmopolitans!
That was my first "migration" from one country to the whole world, without even leaving the country's borders... 馃檪 The real migration happened in 2012 when I left for "realz", leaving my hometown, my parents and family, childhood friends, workplace, and hit the road (or better-said plane) to Spain with 1 suitcase in my hand...
A few months before that, my wife and I signed up for Spanish lessons, trying to learn as much as possible, starting from zero... Somewhere in those moments, not sure how it happened (maybe our cool Spanish teacher suggested), I bumped into Manu Chao's music... As he was singing mostly in Spanish, I learned some words from the lyrics...
I have to say that I had no idea what he was singing about until I learned the meaning of those words... lol... But it somehow attracted me, and probably for a reason... Sometimes we understand WHY certain things happened to us in a certain time, months, and years AFTER they happened... We just attract them; they help us, even without being aware of HOW!
Yesterday, YouTube suggested this video to me...
It is a short documentary about Manu Chao's life, with an emphasize of the Clandestino album, which was the one I was listening the most 15 years ago! It was great to finally understand the story behind the album, and the meaning of those songs to Manu Chao himself, but also to those who migrated around the world...
I think I explained my view on borders, passports, tribalism, and nationalism in the past... Long story short, I'm not fond of any of those... But there is something common for all of them... They are "human inventions"! None of that exists in nature, nor makes any sense, but we created them... And why?
To protect "our way of living"? It was easier to quit developing the whole world, so we divided ourselves into small pieces? Maybe... But I assume that all that happened to "make a difference"... To make some people "worthy", or more "privileged"... Why do we need to have "MORE MONEY"? When is enough? By grabbing more for us, we are taking from someone else on the other side... All that reminds me of the US debt, which is mentioned a lot recently... Trillions of USD... How many hungry bellies could you feed with that?
We are feeding our greed, our pride, our insecurities by grabbing more for us, keeping others far away by building walls, borders, or by looking the other way... If we don't see it, it's not happening...
Let's see the WorkerBee Pool numbers for this week...
This week, we have mined 117 BEE tokens in total, 16 tokens fewer than a week before! I hope we will have better luck next week!
This week we didn't get new delegators! As usual, we got additional delegations from old members! Thanks for your continuous support, guys and girls! I really appreciate it!
This pool doesn't charge fees, and you can earn up to 20% more by delegating to it!
What about the bonus tokens?
Honestly, I'm not following what's happening around the InLeo community, but it looks like they're moving more and more outside HIVE... I suppose I made a mistake not selling all my LEO tokens when they had the last pump, but at least I did sell some... The rest is still staked, but I suppose there is no need to keep them there as I think curation doesn't work anymore... Or it does? If you have more info, please let me know in the comment section...
There will be 160 LEO tokens distributed to the delegators of the pool as a bonus reward today!
160 LEO tokens will be distributed as a bonus... The APR (without the bonus) was 9.856%, and when we added the bonus, it went up to 11.726%!
I have calculated the ROI approximately with medium prices for all tokens when creating this post... So, those numbers are valid if you bought WB and sold BEE tokens at the middle HiveEngine price... Currently, the BUY side of the WORKERBEE tokens is very thin, and it's hard to calculate the middle price.
Do you want to sponsor the PH-Pool with your tokens, receive a short SPONSORED segment in this post, and raise awareness about your front-end or dApp? Please let me know in the comment section, or contact me through Discord or Twitter, and we will find the best solution for both parties...
If you want to join the WorkerBee PH-Pool, the only thing that you have to do is to STAKE tokens to YOUR account and DELEGATE your staked WORKERBEE tokens to THIS account (
@ph1102)! Every week, you will get your portion of mined BEE tokens and BONUS rewards!
.:. DO NOT STAKE TOKENS TO MY ACCOUNT!!! Just DELEGATE! .:.
If you have any questions, please leave them in the comment section!
You can find more about this pool in the initial post here @ph1102/workerbee-p-h-ool-let-s-help-each-other.
Thank you for your time.
