Estas flores reciben el nombre de Flor de Baile o Dama de Noche. En Venezuela suelen florecer entre los meses de marzo, abril y mayo. Su nombre se debe a que las flores abren alrededor de las 10 u 11 de la noche y cierran antes del amanecer.

These flowers are called the Dance Flower or Lady of the Night. In Venezuela they usually bloom between the months of March, April and May. Its name is due to the fact that the flowers open around 10 or 11 at night and close before dawn.
