水不波則自定 鑑不翳則自明 故心無可淸 去其混之者而淸自現 樂不必尋 去其苦之者而樂自存 (前 151)
If the water is not rippled, it will become calm by itself. A mirror is clear on its own if there are no stains. Therefore, trying hard doesn't clear mind. When that cloudiness passes, the clearness will appear spontaneously. Don't search for pleasure. When the suffering passes, joy will arise. (Book1 151)
Waves and water are one. The wind divided the name into two. Should the wind be blamed though? Wind is not controllable. Mind and afflictions is as such.
