No matter how beautiful the peach and apricot flowers are, how can they be the same as the ever green pine and cypress over there? No matter how sweet the taste of pears and apricots, how can they compare to the clear scent of yellow citron and green tangerine? Truly it is! What is beautiful but withers early is not as good as what is ordinary and long-lasting. What is outstanding early is not as good as what is achieved late. (Book1 224)
