When there is no work, the mind tends to become dull and dark. You should be able to see clearly even in the stillness. When there is work, it is easy to get distracted. You should keep calm in the midst of clarity. (Book1 175)
Awareness is knowing clearly in every thought, but without agitation. Otherwise, it is like living in the cloud of unknowing. How many people are not like this?
