Heaven and earth looks as still and unmovable but their operation does not rest at all. The sun and moon run busily day and night, but their brightness does not change over from past. Therefore, a wise person needs to be prepared for urgency at leisure, and must have a relaxed mindset even in busy or tricky situation. (Book1 8)

Tranquility is the mindset from imitation of heaven and earth that the wise should cultivate.
